Job Description

The Key Account Manager, Sensing Solutions will mainly focus on Mobile Hydraulics/Industrial Engines market segment in France (but also managing an existing customer portfolio in Marine and Water pumps applications) and is responsible for the development and support of sensor sales through designated Danfoss sales organizations as well as select direct accounts. As an account manager, you will work in close cooperation with the regional sales organizations, global key account teams, application engineers, and the global marketing team to achieve your objectives. The role reports directly to the Hydraulic Sales Director, Europe.

Job Responsibilities






Responsible for growing sensor sales revenue in regional and global key accounts


Establish and maintain relationship with other Danfoss sales teams


Work with and through Danfoss sales teams and customers to enable thorough understanding of customer applications and needs for Sensing products


Drive both OEM and distribution sales with special focus on the Mobile Hydraulics market segment


Manage the sales cycle from opportunity identification to cash generation by prescribing and quoting Sensing products (product guidance, selection, & technical support) and aid in developing value propositions for customers and account managers


Develop and maintain action plans for key OEMs with changing conditions and objectives


Maintain and review relevant opportunities in Salesforce – both directly owned & shared


Develop strategic segment pricing, programs, and promotions as needed


Generate sales and demand forecasts that represent business plans and conditions


Coordinate sales and support activities with application engineers as needed


Obtain and communicate key industry, segment, competitor trends


Coordinate MarCom activities with the marketing department to attract and support distributors including shows, advertising, virtual events, and other online content


Facilitate and take a leadership role to ensure seamless coordination between sales and other departments such as product managers, logistics, customer service, and application engineering.

7+ years of B2B, OEM manufacturing experience in sales or other sales support function.


Experience in Sensors applications and Mobile Hydraulic area is preferential


Bachelor’s degree in engineering 


Creative thinker and action oriented


Ability to multitask and resolve conflicts in the business.


Professional, proactive, convincing communication skills.
