W e’re looking for someone with strong negotiation experience with Mass Market Retailers to join Edgewell Personal Care – a global consumer goods business with a portfolio of over 25 brands (Wilkinson Sword, Hawaiian Tropic, Carefree, Bulldog Skincare for Men and recently acquired Jack Black… just to name a few!).
Now, Let’s Get Down to Business
You will be reporting to the Business Development Manager and will be the lead point of contact for the customers in your portfolio. T here will be a specific focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with your customers and develop sales and margins you’re your portfolio. The right person for this role will have experience with Mass Market Retailers and will have a strong background in negotiation. Here’s a sample of what you’ll get up to
Appropriate prioritization on sales revenue targets are implemented at the start of each fiscal year to achieve business objectives.
Negotiate the best deal for each account that will ensure both Net Sales and Gross Margin growth.
Analyse sales figures on a weekly basis to ensure any emerging market trends are identified early; and to ensure progress against annual sales targets is closely monitored with corrective action being planned and implemented.
Ensure a good relationship with his/her customer portfolio
Develop a profitable turnover
Influence internally to develop the size of the business
Ensure the sales revenue and margin targets are achieved in line with the French Commercial and Marketing business plan.
Make forecast as accurate as possible for permanent and promo range
Manage and follow “Nip” (N ew Promotional Instrument ) investment
Make sure agreed product portfolio and promo plan is activated in customers’ tools.
Are You Ready to Show Us What You’ve Got?
We may not be Account Manager experts, but you will be. We’ll need you to be confident with sales data, negotiating with customers and building strong relationships. Ideally you will have sales account experience within a consumer goods or Mass Market retail business.
In addition, it would be great if you have the following skills and experience
Experience as an Account Manager (ideally with Mass Market) in an FMCG environment. Or significant experience in Category Development management, ideally gained in hygiene-beauty sector.
University degree or equivalent in commercial related subject.
Great sense of priorities and high level of autonomy
Business oriented
Negotiation skills (demonstrated negotiation with retailers)
Demonstrated experience in successful influencing skills, with significant personal presence.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with good listening skills.
Strong analytical abilities
