Role:


The Commercial Division is looking for a Sales & Relationship Manager (SRM).  The unit we are hiring for looks after the "Funds Issuers & Asset Owners" clients' segment (i.e., the buy-side).  Most of our existing clients' relations in such a space are based in the UK, Northern and Western Europe.


The location for the role is ideally Brussels. However, we are open to consider candidates based in Paris or London if they have the necessary flexibility to travel as necessary/required. The successful candidate will be reporting to the ad-interim Unit Head of the Funds Issuers & Asset Owners team, based in Amsterdam.


In the Commercial Division, we cover the entire range of Euroclear Group product offerings. Specifically for the buy-side segment, we would require strong focus on Euroclear Bank services with Collateral Management as a key area of expertise. Other growing areas for such a type of clients are services around Data products, Investment Funds and Sustainability.          


In this role, you will be responsible for meeting with clients, educating them about Euroclear Group services and guiding them to make the best decisions depending on their business needs. You will also play a key part in generating new business by identifying opportunities for potential sales as you develop the relationship with existing or prospective clients.  


Responsibilities & duties:



Be responsible for an assignment of clients based in the UK and The Netherlands
Familiarise yourself and ultimately master your client`s market/segment
Establish yourself within your client`s network and grow the relationships at various hierarchical levels (i.e., horizontally across your client`s business lines as well as vertically to grow seniority within your contacts)
Understand the problems and challenges of your portfolio and identify ways Euroclear product offerings could better address those needs
Identify business opportunities and business at risk within your portfolio but not exclusively
Seek opportunities to cross-sell to existing clients
Ensure timely & satisfactory resolution of the client's escalations
Protect revenues and business with the existing client base
Guide prospects through the customer due diligence journey when becoming a client, as well as going through the KYC cycle for existing clients as per regulatory requirements (“recertification”).

Technical Skills:

A succesful candidate should have some experience in a Sales & Relationship management role within the Financial Service sector and Post-trade in general.  We also require the candidate to have expertise in the following:

Strong clients focus and experience with client facing roles
An understanding of Euroclear Group products and services is a plus
Willingness to learn and develop an in-depth understanding of the (I)CSD business and related services in line with the Group strategy is imperative 

A flexibility to travel within the regions of primary responsibilities is a must within this role

Ability to build, foster, and maintain positive professional relationships within the firm as well as with external stakeholders
Inclusive and collaborative approach to the team and other stakeholders within the Euroclear Group
Excellent interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal) and team player
Flexibility, very good organisation skills, impact and results oriented
Ability to adapt actions to sensitivities, needs and requirements expressed by the various clients within the assigned portfolio as well as other stakeholders you will be dealing with 
Problem solving and conflict resolution capabilities
The ability to thrive in constantly evolving environment (analytical and research skills)
High degree of resourcefulness
