Account Executive

Tasks and duties

Maintaining assigned accounts and providing ongoing customer support.
Develop net and gross revenue set as target and hunt for new regional accounts with a special focus on air products.
Developing and implementing sales strategies around the provision of freight forwarding services.
Identifying and contacting prospective customers to promote freight forwarding services and negotiate contracts.
Evaluating business processes, assessing risks, and recommending improvements to achieve sales targets.
Addressing customer concerns and finding innovative solutions for complex freight forwarding challenges.
Assessing customer needs and determining suitable modes of transportation that align with cost and timeframe expectations.
Collaborating with other departments to optimize freight forwarding services and arranging shipment and transportation details with carrier agents.
Regular maintenance and data entry into CRM tool
Travel time 50-70%

Experience & knowledge:
Above five (3) years of directly related freight forwarding experience & two (1) years of consultative business development experience with emphasis on hunting new opportunities.
Achieve major account sales goals & to plan & to execute major customer sales strategies.
Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
International transportation experience is mandatory, domestic transportation and/or distribution background can complement but not replace international experience.
The ability to function and flourish in a matrix management company.
To ensure success as an account executive, you should exhibit extensive sales experience in a related environment and the ability to identify new business opportunities.
An accomplished account executive will be someone whose customer-centered approach and logistical expertise result in increased profitability.
