Senior Account Executive

Tasks and duties

Coach and manage the sales team in alignment with the Regional Sales Manager. Oversee the team, document processes and prepare executive reports.
Maintain and manage assigned accounts, ensuring ongoing customer support and satisfaction.
Develop and implement sales strategies focused on achieving net and gross revenue targets, with a special emphasis on acquiring new regional accounts for air & ocean products.
Identify and proactively contact prospective customers, promoting our freight forwarding services and negotiating contracts.
Evaluate existing business processes, assess risks, and recommend improvements to achieve sales targets effectively.
Address customer concerns and provide innovative solutions to complex freight forwarding challenges.
Assess customer needs and determine suitable modes of transportation that align with cost and timeframe expectations.
Collaborate with other departments to optimize freight forwarding services and coordinate shipment and transportation details with carrier agents.
Regularly maintain and update data in the CRM tool.
Travel time 50-70%

Experience & knowledge:
Above five (5) years of directly related freight forwarding experience & two (2) years of consultative business development experience with emphasis on hunting new opportunities.
Achieve major account sales goals & to plan & to execute major customer sales strategies
Track record of success in a large, high-powered transportation environment.
Fluency in English, both spoken and written
International transportation experience is mandatory, domestic transportation and/or distribution background can complement but not replace international experience.
The ability to function and flourish in a matrix management company.
To ensure success as an account executive, you should exhibit extensive sales experience in a related environment and the ability to identify new business opportunities.
