What this role is:
The Account Executive drives revenue growth in assigned accounts/territories through acquiring, retaining and growing customers while creating and fostering relationships with all levels of stakeholders in new and existing customers.
In this role, you will understand customer needs, challenges, and expected business outcomes and provide them with Genesys solutions. You will work with internal teams along the Sales Process to ensure the customer is provided with the best solutions to meet their needs.

Some details about what you’ll do:
In this role, the primary responsibilities will primarily include:
Create and drive revenue within a specified region or list of named accounts by developing strategic territory business plans
Build a strong pipeline by using prospecting tools and techniques in both existing customers and net new logos
Generates opportunities through brand awareness campaigns, networking, associations etc., leveraging marketing programs and online presence
Understand key business challenges and required outcomes for customers and effectively articulate the value proposition of the Genesys solution with effective storytelling techniques
Meet and exceed all quarterly and annual sales quotas
Own the sales cycle through all the phases – from contacting the customer through the retain and grow phases, alongside the other functions involved (SDR, SC, GA, PS)
Maintain account and opportunity forecasting within our internal system
Ensure 100% customer satisfaction and retention
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships including trusted advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
Systematically leverage the sales process, tools and resources to facilitate the customer’s journey through the buying process
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
Assist and support Sales partners in the sales effort by participating in sales calls and closing efforts.
Ensures they are constantly up to date on the Genesys offerings and can demo the base functionality
What you can bring to Genesys
5 – 8 years of sales experience in Cloud or SaaS-based software sales in a customer-centric organization
BS or BA degree or equivalent work-related work experience
Strong ability to build relationships
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
Excellent interpersonal, presentation skills – both written and verbal
Positive attitude and high willingness to learn and share knowledge with coworkers
Proven experience communicating, negotiating, and closing with executives and stakeholders
Proven experience understanding customer needs and being able to articulate solutions
Proven ability to increase your pipeline within current customers as well as net new logos
Confirmed ability to lead a complex sales cycle, with a track record of successful revenue attainment
Ability to travel up to 50%
Be able to work independently & as part of a team in a fast pace, rapid change environment
Superior professional presence and business acumen
Experience selling at the "C" level
Strong account planning and management skills, including mature negotiation skills
