Job description
The Business Developer position is a challenging role, ideally suited to someone with a strong scientific background, a real commercial appetite and a knowledge of Genetic Engineered, Molecular and Cellular Biology Markets.
Directly relates to the Director of Sales Operations, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the achievement of the sales targets for his/her portfolio of Genoway’s Models Engineered Products & Services into diverse international customers (Academic Research, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical).
Main missions
The mission of the business developer is to initiate, and develop new business opportunities:
Identify companies that would benefit from products and services of the company
Prepare prospection plans for potential targets
Identify contacts by using internal and external databases and social selling tools
Establish business relationships with prospects
Support and advise customers in the research and the understanding of their scientific projects
Prepare the calls, visits, webinars and quotations within the framework of your perimeter
Build the technical proposals with the help of the commercial teams and sign contracts with the identified prospects
Build framework agreements adapted to strengthen and perpetuate the existing relations with researchers
Follow-up on projects delivered to your customers to get feedback on the offer and promote the sales of other products and services
Maintain & develop strong relationship with key customers & KOL references in conjunction with our Scientific Consulting & Project Management Teams
Interact and cooperate with the other departments of the company (Marketing, Customer Service, Sales support) to obtain the most effective teamwork, to promote the sales ;
Manage or contribute to internal projects related to marketing, communication and tools
Provide field feedback on competitor’s products and services as well as marketplace activities.
Prepare and participate to scientific congresses and events in line with the commercial strategy
Complete the sales database, prepare sales forecasts and reports according the internal process, policies and tools

Master Degree/PhD in Immuno Biology, Molecular Biology and/or Cellular Biology (or equivalent)
3-5 successful years in sales experience with a proven track record in Life Science & Genetic Engineering Products and/or Services would be a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential
Good knowledge in project management and proven experiences of working with a Project Management team
Solid understanding of current pre-clinical research and drug discovery market trends including Immunology, Oncology, Cellular & Gene Therapies etc...
