BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER LIFE SCIENCES Your role - Report to the CEO and be accountable for generating business and managing your own P&L - Identify new target accounts and opportunities; define and carry out lead generation activities - Develop new business for GXP CONSULTING Switzerland via various lead generation channels - Develop existing business relations with the existing customers - Manage and execute the entire end-to-end selling process: initial lead inquiry, qualification of opportunities, requirements gathering, project scope definition, effort estimation, proposal development, SOW creation, contract negotiation and closing - Identify, hire and manage your own consultants/experts team - Ensure your consultants/experts are meeting their career development objectives - Implement strategies to grow the assigned market segment - Initiate and lead business development processes - Establish executive-level relationships to drive sales opportunities and promote GXP CONSULTING Switzerland value proposition - Understand GXP CONSULTING Switzerland capabilities and solutions and translate those into a compelling offering based on clear value propositions and unique selling propositions for our clients - Be able to sell the GXP CONSULTING Switzerland Portfolio of offerings and services - Develop in-depth market intelligence, and analyse and assess customer information as well as the market and competitors - Provide regular and ad-hoc activity, market, and sales funnel reports as required - Ensure that deliverables are compliant with client's expectations and business/profitability objectives - Travel to client sites where needed - Develop and manage key relationships with clients to drive additional new business and provide proper communication on account activity. Your profile - Master degree in Business Administration (HEC, Uni or equivalent) or Master degree in Engineering (Industry, Life Sciences or equivalent) - Significant experience in business development with the major Swiss players in the Life Sciences or Engineering services industry - High energy, self-managed, hands-on, sound interpersonal, oral and written communications and organization skills - Proven experience selling professional services projects to life sciences customers - Has a “hunter” mentality, loves to target and open new accounts which expand GXP CONSULTING Switzerland client base - Good understanding of Life Sciences industries and product lifecycle, good analytic and project management skills - Excellent people management and communication skills - Proven track records in selling added value project - Proven track record of closing new business in a “hunting” business development - High level knowledge of pricing practices, selling and negotiating skills - A proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue objectives - Strong verbal, written communication, and listening skills - Strong customer service and interpersonal skills - Excellent collaboration and team-building skills - Languages: German and English, or French and English, or ideally English, French and German Qualified candidates must be legally eligible to work for any employer in Switzerland.
