Title and Summary

Business Development Senior Manager (France)Mastercard Advisors, the professional services arm of Mastercard, provides payments-focused consulting and marketing services (including business strategy, proposition & operating model design, performance optimization, marketing, information and risk management) to financial institutions and merchants worldwide.
With its unique payments expertise, deep understanding of customer needs and successful track record in addressing complex challenges throughout the payments lifecycle, MasterCard Advisors has established a strong track record of successfully addressing the challenges and opportunities of its clients
Role
The best fit candidate for the role will be someone who likes to work in a continuous changing environment. We expect you to dive into payments, understands what’s it about and how this can be translated into better solutions for businesses and consumers. You like to take leadership to get things moving.
The person we are looking for will be responsible for selling the services for our partners in France. You have the ability to listen and translate client conversations into a proposal.
The Managing Consultant Business Development will report into the Head of Business Development. This team is responsible for sales, in-year-revenue and profitability. This includes new client sales, maximizing value of each client relationship, driving recurrent revenue and platform solutions, ensuring high net customer expansion through renewals and cross-sell, and optimizing the mix of solutions sold.
Teaming is crucial in this role to provide the best services to our partners. This involves building relationships with our partners to become their trusted advisor as well as within the Mastercard organization. You will take a leading role in the development of a plan for Data & Services and beyond to support the Mastercard strategic imperatives.

• Strong commercial drive with ability to build and monetize senior client relationships based on empathy, thought leadership and subject matter expertise
• Excellent people leadership skills, with both direct and indirect teams, with the ability to lead and inspire from the front through a combination of compelling communication and clear actions
• Ability to quickly generate a deep understanding of the suite of Mastercard Data & Services value propositions with thoughtful approach to building and executing appropriate go to market strategies
• Has strong prioritizations and scoping skills, combined with multitasking in a fast moving environment.
• Is a team player with proven ability to work with all levels in a highly intellectual, collaborative, and fast paced environment
• Exhibits leadership courage; challenges poor decisions and stands up for the purpose and principles of good business
• Will work with/for our partners in France.
• Has worked in an environment that is of relevance for this role. You have a solid background and demonstrated experience for this role (e.g. sales, innovation, marketing, consulting, data, loyalty and banking).
Education, Qualifications and Experience
Education Needed:
• Undergraduate degree required
• MBA or relevant post graduate degree recommended
Experience and Skills Needed:
• 6+ years working experience
• Experience from a top rated consulting firm or from sales and/or business development in a company providing B2B services & solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Ability to work on a team or independently
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Attention to detail
Languages:
• Local language required
• English required
