MCI has been supporting the World LPG Association with the organisation of its flagship event, LPG Week, for over 15 years. As part of its 5-year development plan, we are looking for a full-time Partnership Sales and Development Manager.


Reporting directly to the MCI Project Director and the WLPGA Events Director, the Partnership Sales and Development Manager is responsible for driving sponsorship and exhibition revenue for LPG Week aligned with targets.


Our ideal candidate is an English native speaker, highly motivated and results driven., He has strong organisational skills and is comfortable at working in a fast-paced international environment. A good understanding of professional associations is a plus.


MAIN RESPONSABILITIES



As a Partnership Sales and Development Manager, you will generate and grow sponsorship and exhibition revenues from returning clients and new business assigned market segment by leveraging WLPGA’s event value proposition.
Develop a strategy and sales plan, as well as a pipeline for LPG Week to generate maximum revenue.
Understand customer’s business objectives and identify sponsoring, exhibition, partnership opportunities and new initiatives through a consultative approach.
When appropriate, attend industry events and conferences for lead generation, business intelligence and closing current pipeline.
Demonstrate interest in understanding the LPG industry, identify new trends and develop long-lasting partnerships with sponsors and exhibitors
Achieve personal and event revenue targets
Generate qualified leads through internet research, reading of industry trade journals, networking, and referrals.
Apply a consultative approach, by understanding industry challenges and tailoring a value-added package for qualified prospects.

JOB REQUIREMENTS



5-10 years’ experience B2B sales preferably Sponsorship sales within the events and/or energy sector (LPG sector is a +).
Able to reach and exceed sales targets.
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Consultative sales approach.
Confident talking to C-Level decision-makers.
Excellent verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal skills.
Competitive nature, self-motivated and willingness to learn.
Computer literate using professional software and social media platforms to engage new clients.
A team player committed to supporting and working across teams within the organisations.
Self-starter
Ability to travel

SPECIFIC TECHNICAL SKILLS


Digitally inclined including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation packages and databases, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
