We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced leader for a new role, Global Sales Director. Our global sales consist of four clusters: Americas, Europe North West, Europe South East and China.

This position will report to the Metrologic President and become a member of the Executive Management team. The location of this position is based in France, Grenoble.

Developing and implementing global strategies, to drive sales and profitability in the different clusters, you will build an agile organization network. This must have the capability to develop regardless of national borders, ensuring synergies and efficiency across the world, over both the short and long-term.

You will ensure that our sales function follows Division, BA and Group instructions, directives and applicable regulations, with an extra focus on safety, competition law and code of conduct.

Your Responsibilities Include

In this position you will be accountable for the performance and results of our sales function through senior leaders.

Leading the development of global sales and strategies Drive profitability through pricing, product mix, customer focus and brand portfolio Review and monitor sales performance periodically, and refine strategies as required Work closely with marketing counterparts, and create a collaborative environment to enhance sales growth globally Continuously develop our ‘Simply Reliable’ sales tactics, using global processes and tools Actively create your own network and relationships with key customers and partners Influence the development of our product offer through analyzing customer feedback and market needs/strategies Ensure all operations are running per local laws and regulations, Sandvik policies and financial guidelines, supporting the local market managers Continuously develop the organization and adapt to market needs and strategies (this includes securing resources and competences to achieve goals; set and monitor objectives; identify and develop talent and successors for local, regional and global needs).

To be successful in this position you must have extensive management experience in industrial markets and at least 10 years’ experience in a sales role as part of a structured global company within the metrology industry, cutting tools, machining or adjacent industry.

You need to have both strategy development and implementation skills. Also, a distinctive business mindset and commercial attitude, combined with capabilities to drive change and engage stakeholders.

You consider diversity and inclusion as prerequisites to building high-performing teams and possess a strong result orientated approach.

You have highly developed leadership capabilities, based on coaching, communication and decision-making abilities. A university degree in Business, Engineering or related field is required and you must be fluent in English, both spoken and written. Extensive travel is required.
