Based in Paris, France and reporting to misterb&b CEO, this is a high profile role in a high performing company focused on building the largest vertical in the travel space.
What began several years ago as a modest idea is now a booming enterprise. The company was incubated in Silicon Valley by 500 Startups, one of the most prestigious accelerator programs, and succeeded in fundraising $13.5 millions in venture capital. Today, misterb&b operates out of 3 offices on 3 continents, providing users with access to more than 200,000 properties in 135+ countries.
Scope of work
The Sales Development Representative will introduce misterb&b to property managers around the world, as well to hotels and offer them to reach out to one of the most premium segment of the travel industry (the LGBT community). Your typical day will involve lead generation, cold calling, networking, negotiating, following-up. You will be given a great deal of autonomy to organize your day to day workload. You will also do project management while connecting API partners in both the hotel and the short term rental industries to misterb&b (sourcing, contracts, technical implementation). You will also have opportunities to attend conferences and meet inspirational partners within the dynamic hospitality industry. You will work with our agencies project manager to make connection live/solve any technical challenge.
What you will do
Identify properties managers and their channel manager systems
Reach out to potential clients via email and cold calls
Inspire prospects to learn about how misterb&b can be an asset to their business
Acquire new properties managers, apartments, hotels (top 30 cities)
Manage and negotiate channel manager connections (hotels and short term rentals)
Build and manage lead development pipeline to connect them to misterb&b through their channel manager
Design targeted Mailings (Email marketing)
Test new technologies to facilitate outbound outreach
Directly and effectively communicate with General Managers
Accurately update CRM
Know the misterb&b pitch & program and be able to professionally deliver the benefits
Promote misterb&b channel across the globe during conferences & fairs
Animate webinars with channel managers
About you
Four-year degree preferred but not required
1+ year relevant experience in business development in the hospitality business
Comfortable navigating software and conducting webinars/tutorials
Focused, “hunter” mentality to find, solicit, and drive new business to the company
Always looking to learn more, learn new ways to accomplish and reach your goals
CRM experience preferred
Naturally tech savvy
Organizational skills needed
Ability to multitask
Of course excellent written and oral communication skills and high level of diplomacy
Fluent in French & English
Desire to have fun and get the job done
