As our new Commercial Excellence Manager you will be the trusted partner and right hand to the Regional Senior General Manager (SGM) of EMEA South. Your ultimate goal is to support him with driving growth across the region. You will do this by running and coordinating key activities that enable the sales organization to succeed.

Key responsibilities:

Implement global and regional strategic initiatives and sales best practices such as strengthening our key account sales setup as well as our setup for sales of autonomous solutions. Managing performance and sales effectiveness through SalesForce by driving continuous improvement of its usage throughout the sales organization. Help the organization to become more effective and numbers-driven by ensuring that we use the right KPIs and dashboards, have a proper meeting cadences and that we take the right actions and follow up on them. Support development of annual commercial plans as part of budget process Being an ambassador and right hand the SGM by supporting day-to-day execution of top priorities in the region by taking responsibility for leading or overseeing key sales opportunities and critical challenges that require management attention. Help create presentations for senior and top management meetings.

Globally, you will become part of a community comprised by six regional Commercial Excellence Manager across US, Europe and China. You report with a solid line to the Global Head of Business Development, Christian Bork Andersen, who report to the Global EVP of Sales. The team consists of like-minded young talents, who work closely together as one team. There is a strong culture and focus on helping and leveraging each other.

Regionally, you will report with a strong dotted line to the Regional SGM, Christopher Riau, and become part of the Sales Leadership team. Your primary focus will be on France which is the largest market in the region. Here you will work closely with the Country Manager as well as the Sales Directors. Besides France, you will be working with Benelux, Iberia, Italy, Greece and Turkey. For a successful candidate, this role will be a clear path to bigger leadership position in the region after 2-5 years.

The ideal candidate

To succeed in the role, you must be a “swiss knife” in the commercial area. Your professional toolbox is strong and versatile enough to effectively solve tasks that range from high-level strategic planning to day-to-day sales operations. At the same time, your personality and people skills allow you to easily adapt to environments that range from senior management meetings to co-driving with sales reps and service technicians in the field. Specifically you are a person who is very strong and experienced in:

Prioritizing the most impactful tasks and following through to ensure that we move across the finish line and realize the full impact. Analyzing data and getting to the root cause of a problem, ensuring that we have a data-driven approach to making decisions and leverage the insights we get from data is key to improve. Managing projects and driving processes forward by scoping projects, creating workstreams, detailing actions and assigning owners and timelines, to ensure that everyone delivers in a coordinated way according to expectations. Executing day-to-day tasks in a pragmatic and impactful way by thinking pragmatically and creatively to come up with efficient solutions. Communicating clearly both verbally and in writing by presenting complex messages in an easily understood way. Collaborating above and beyond by being a team player and openminded, having great people skills and the ability to adapt and thrive with different personalities.

Specific qualifications for the role:

3-5 years of experience within Business Development, Sales Excellence or Commercial Excellence either from a career in Consulting or from a function in a large multinational company. Experience with B2B companies that produce and sell physical equipment or machinery is a must. Experience with companies that perform field services (maintenance and repair) is an advantage. Project management certificates or documented experience is a must. Super user of Excel and PowerPoint at a level that is sufficient to be comfortable pulling, structuring and analyzing data in Excel as well as presenting it in PowerPoint for top management presentations. Knowledge of CRM is a must and SFDC specifically is a clear advantage. Knowledge of SAP and BI is an advantage. Fluency in French and English is a prerequisite while additional languages as Spanish or Italian are an advantage.

Practicalities

Based in Paris area. Ability to travel ~25 days per year mainly in Southern Europe.
