About Your Role:We have an exciting opportunity to join our Cargo Team in Paris, France as a Cargo Sales Manager. You will manage the direct Cargo Sales and Marketing activities of Qatar Airways Cargo in the region. and represent the company in local sales related Cargo Community events. You will prepare/propose suitable business and marketing plans to maximize cargo revenues for import and exports in region through effective sales strategies and promotion whilst developing new customer base, secure base loads and penetrate the local market to represent Qatar Airways Cargo.
Key accountabilities:
Plan, direct and control all selling and marketing activities in the region and penetrate local market to secure new sources of revenue. Meet and exceed the set revenue targets and work with the Regional Cargo Manager in preparing and controlling the revenue and cost budget. Frequent sales calls/visits to all cargo agents/shippers and any other government institutes to manage all aspects of operations and make every effort in acquiring sales leads and increasing awareness of QR's products range. Manage the sales team to optimize cargo revenue production and to research and report other airline practices and recommend corrective measures. Oversee and direct daily activities and develop your team to ensure the highest standard of service delivery. Research and monitor competitors pricing and promotional activity and prompt counter action. Research and report on other airline practices and recommend corrective actions when appropriate. Evaluate Qatar Airways market share and traffic movements to/from station. Ensure participation in Sales Campaigns and Public Events, liaise with HQ Marketing Department for technical support. Steer the marketing team to ensure that promotional and advertising campaigns for the country are within set budgets. About You:The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree combined solid job relevant experience gained preferably in Airfreight Sales Management. Training in the field of Marketing and Sales Development, Commercial Acumen and ability to spot market and industry trends are essentially required. Complete knowledge of Market leaders and practices business strategies, familiarization with “airline products” and needs of forwarding industry. You must possess strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in computer applications. Knowledge of IATA/TACT regulations. Ability to delegate work, set clear directions, manage workflow and possess strong mentoring and coaching skills. Good command of written and spoken English and French.
