Summary


The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for the leadership of an industry end user partnership, resulting in sustained, aggressive sales and market share growth for assigned products, contract agreements, and, solutions & services. This individual develops and implements sales strategies and plans to achieve annual goals and objectives. The Strategic Account Manager is accountable for managing the day-to day sales within the assigned account, including accountability for executing commercial programs, while working closely with extended resources. This role has responsibility for a customer with multiple sites, ranging in account size, and for managing through extended sales resources to drive sustainable growth.


This Strategic Account Manager role will focus on the CPG Segment. Knowledge of selling in this industry is a key requirement.  A strong understanding of the various processes (such as specification development, bid process, coordinating key stakeholders, and services) that are leveraged within the industry is required. Understanding of the digital transformation and smart connected operations including the digital thread, analytics, and manufacturing execution systems is desired.


What You’ll do



Indirectly leads a team of resources and executes a disciplined sales process to ensure sufficient opportunities exist to achieve or exceed annual sales goals.
Develops strategies and plans toward long-term customer relationships/advocacy and leverage resources to the highest priorities in order to maintain and create demand.
Clearly articulates the annual value stream of the strategic partnership between the customer and Rockwell Automation ecosystem; to both the customer and Rockwell leadership.
Communicates digital transformation business outcomes as it applies to CPG industry and drives innovation within the strategic account.
Develops and maintains key executive relationships for long-term business success.
Coordinates cross-territory/region/country pursuits with appropriate sales teams and partners for account sites.
Analyzes industry macro-trends and provides ongoing market intelligence, monthly sales activity reports, forecasting, and ad-hoc feedback.
Documents the competitive landscape by geography, customer type and segment with a pursuit strategy to develop and defend our position.
Effectively communicates and collaborates with the Sales management team and corporate management regarding dynamics, performance, and sales opportunities.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience And Education


Education


Bachelor’s degree, MBA is preferred.

Experience



Extensive experience working in or with CPG companies is required.
Minimum of 5 years of strategy and/or consulting experience
Strong experience in interfacing and interacting with key stakeholders up to and including the C- Suite
Proven successful track record of leadership in an intentional company with a matrix environment.
Experience leading by influence cross-country and -functional teams to develop and execute winning strategies & solutions.
Global / EMEA sales experience preferred
Track record of delivering and exceeding business objectives

Ability to sell at the senior management & executive levels, and articulate the value of Rockwell Automation’s products, solutions & services in a manner which demonstrate tangible economic value

Other



Ability to travel (France + EMEA) about 20-30% of time. Expected to visit customers to understand the voice of the customer

French Native with very strong level of English
Legal authorization to work in EMEA is a must.
