Credit Analytics Sales – Southern Europe

The Team:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Credit and Risk Solutions (C&RS) Sales Team, a focused and dynamic team with the opportunity to build on the last few years of significant growth and product development within the C&RS Business.

The Impact:

The C&RS business has a strategic plan to be a $1B business globally by 2026 and is a significant contributor to the overall growth of the Market Intelligence (MI) Division. The product suite is a critical piece of this growth story as the distribution channel for Ratings proprietary content and a provider of models and workflow tools to underpin the Credit Workflow for rated and unrated borrowers, counterparties, customers and suppliers. C&RS has senior executive commitment to invest where needed to fuel these growth expectations.

We are at the forefront of solving new challenges for clients as the market and regulatory landscape continues to change. For example:

Helping clients establish robust frameworks for integrating ESG factors into their Credit Assessment frameworks and understanding the potential impact of ESG on their credit portfolios
RatingsDirect’s rich and timely research helps customers understand the potential impact of current global phenomenons such as inflation and regional conflicts on credit markets
Many rely on historical ratings performance in times of economic turmoil to feed into future scenario modeling
Credit Analytics and ProSpread underpin large global corporations moving toward customer and supplier credit assessment workflow automation

What’s in it for you:

This is a critical role in the C&RS Sales organization
As a Sales Specialists you will be part of a dynamic team demonstrating the growth potential of the C&RS suite with dedicated sales focus
You will be an important voice of the customer with input into product and commercial strategy and as such will have senior leadership exposure in strategy and planning sessions
As the C&RS business grows, there will be opportunities for growth as a sales specialist
The complimentary nature of C&RS products with other solutions across MI, means you will have opportunities to build relationships with stakeholders across the MI division and across S&P Global


Meet individual growth goal / quota which can be achieved through: renewing and growing a book of existing Credit Analytics and Scorecard business, selling new Credit Analytics and Scorecards deals into greenfield C&RS clients and selling the entire C&RS suite (including RD and RX) to C&RS white space clients (ie those with no existing relationship with the C&RS Business)
Build and execute on book of business/territory strategy and identify opportunities for growth and expansion
Adopt structured and disciplined approach to tracking activity, pipeline accuracy and forecasting
Embrace a customer focused, diagnostic selling approach
Partner closely with other internal stakeholders, such as Product Management, Market Development, Legal and Client Support teams;
Identify and develop revenue synergy and cross-sell opportunities

What We’re Looking For:

The C&RS sales organization values partnership, relationships, and communication.  It is crucial that you model these attributes. In addition, we are looking for:

A strong commercial mindset with prior experience selling to, speaking to, or interacting with credit personas preferred
An understanding of fixed income / credit markets gained via experience at financial institution, asset manager or financial data / technology firm;
Strong communication, organization, presentation, and negotiation skills. Confidence in meetings, presentations and dealing with senior executives and decision makers over the phone or in person
An eagerness to learn
Creative thinking and problem solving to drive solutions that address client needs with the C&RS suite of solutions
Collaboration with sales teams and other stakeholders across the C&RS business and across Market Intelligence to identify and drive synergy and cross sell opportunities across the MI suite of products and solutions
