JOB DESCRIPTION
You are passionate about solving the storage challenges of the digital transformation in both private and hybrid cloud environments, you care about the customer's experience and have a strong desire to join bold and skilled coworkers.
As the International Director Sales Engineering you will manage and lead a team of Senior Sales Engineers for Scality internationally. The Sales Engineer Team is part of a global community focused on boosting Scality and Partner Sales Teams.
QUALIFICATION:
5+ years experience in leading Enterprise infrastructure solutions architects and/or sales engineers across a geographically dispersed team,
5+ years experience in Enterprise storage, preferably working on large scale solutions (typ. Petabyte), and with a track record of understanding the customer workflow and applications, in order to design the most suitable storage solution,
YOUR MAIN MISSIONS:
The International Director Sales Engineering is responsible for providing guidance, support, and leadership, for all Sales Engineer functions including:
Monitoring sales opportunity qualifications and providing guidance in defining the level of compatibility between Scality products and the prospects’ technical requirements
Focusing Sales Engineer efforts, and participating in, the enablement of Partner Sales and Pre-Sales teams to qualify opportunities and perform effective Customer interaction – ultimately becoming Scality evangelists
Ensuring the Sales Engineers are fully equipped in their roles by assisting in developing and enhancing product presentations and demonstration capabilities
Guidance and support for Sales Engineers when engaging with the Customers and Partners to assist in responding to RFI/P/Q’s
Reviewing and coaching Sales Engineer as they architect solutions according to specified requirements, including appropriate 3rd party integrations
Ensuring Partner Sales teams are fully supported in delivering Pre-Sales functions in support of qualified opportunities
Planning and assistance in delivering solution training to Partners to a level where they are comfortable in understanding its capabilities and can position positive impacts to Customer’s business operations.
Ensuring Sales Engineers developing and maintaining a deep understanding of Scality's technology and vision through regular training and collaboration
Ensuring Sales Engineers develop and maintaining a thorough understanding of the storage industry sector and key competitive technologies though access to internal and external training and collaboration
Proving an effective communication channel to allow Sales Engineers the ability to communicate appropriate customer requirements to Scality Product Management teams to directly influence future product directions
Ensuring Sales Engineers have access to the right tools to effectively communicate Product roadmaps to Partners and Customers
The International Director Sales Engineering is also directly responsible for: -
In collaboration with the Vice President Sales International, ensuring focus of efforts across the organisation to fully support the Sales Team in all its function
Driving focus on effective Sales Team productivity though defined and refined processes and methodologies
Planning and delivering regular and relevant education sessions to the International Sales Team though internal and external technical and Partner communities
Providing an effective and filtered communication channel between key functions of the organisations to ensure the Sales and Sales Engineer Team requirements are executed including, Technical Services, Product Management, Engineering, and People Operations
- Maintain close working relationships with co-leaders of key cross-functional teams - in particular Technical Services and Product Management - to ensure repeated Sales success and Customer satisfaction

YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING HARD SKILLS
Experience in designing and promoting infrastructure solutions in specific industry verticals such as: Large-Scale Enterprise, Media, Healthcare, Banking, Cloud Service Providers, and Government,
Recent successful experience working in global, multicultural organizational settings; integrating a dynamic start-up culture with an awareness and sensitivity to local business and social practices,
Recent successful experience in working in a key leadership role within large vendor and channel partner organisations directly or indirectly with an emphasis on Channel enablement,
Full english proficiency (Written and Spoken).
