The position
VP, Sales Area South
will lead and be responsible for Stora Enso, Division Paper, Sales Area South (France, Italy, Spain and Portugal). A new area and position to be established in 2020. He/she will be responsible for the sales result, strategy execution, leading and developing the sales team and performance follow up.
He/she will also be accountable for management reporting, budgeting, target setting and forecasting processes as well as setting customer credit limits and following up on receivables. Create structure and take leadership to a higher level as well as secure efficient co-operation with Product Segments, Customer Service Centers, Technical Sales and other stakeholders.
An important task will also be in ensuring success in ongoing transformation journey, across the commercial organizations in Paper Division and Stora Enso, from commodity to value-based sales processes. This change will require strong change management skills and ability to lead in a modern way and by utilizing digital tools.
VP, Sales Area South will report to SVP, Head of Sales and be part of Division Paper, Sales Leadership Team (SLT).

Qualifications
Required skills, competencies and education levels;
Academic degree and several years of international experience from a senior sales management position
Stable and successful B2B sales track record within a relevant industry, ideally from the paper industry or other commodity-related products within shrinking industrial verticals where added value attributes need to be identified and exploited
Experienced line manager from leading sales teams/cross-functional teams
Must have presence and confidence presenting and communicating with own team, extended teams and other stakeholders and customers
Experienced in solutions-driven, value-based sales using CRM systems on daily basis
Experienced in analyzing markets and spotting market-, customer- and sales/solutions-potential and building market and account plans with both strategic and operational plans
Experienced in budgeting, reporting and sales leadership/governance, monitoring progress of the team
Ready to travel extensively to internal and external meetings
Smart, hands-on, self-driven approach with an interest to learn and solve daily issues
Be a critical thinker of the highest order: analytical, disciplined, a fact-based decision maker
Ability to build trusted relationships with multiple stakeholders
Solutions-driven; entrepreneurial with a drive to expand business with existing customers and find selected new business with profitable growth
Experienced negotiator but at the same time business partner with marketing know how
Be able to maneuver in a global matrix organization using common IT systems, processes and culture
Work according to Stora Enso code of conduct and ethics compliance
Fluent in English (French, Italian and/or Spanish an advantage)
