For this position we are looking for someone who is open to travel and preferably located in France or Italy. As the Sales Account Manager for Trimble Geospatial you will be primary responsible to achieve Distributor revenue targets through implementing and reinforcing solid sales practices and execution of agreed Distributor Action Plan. Therefor we are looking for the perfect combination of someone who has both sales and management skills to implement within a technical sector.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Forecasting. Accurately estimate and achieve quarterly revenue targets for each assigned Distributor account through implementing and reinforcing a sales culture and consistent sales practices (such as customer account planning, lead generation, sales call metrics and reviews).
Evaluate and develop Distributor sales personnel through observation, feedback, and coaching as required to achieve individual salesperson revenue targets and market coverage. (In some cases may be involved in helping Distributor select sales personnel).
Coordinate and/or provide sales and technical training primarily for Distributor sales personnel.
Facilitate and coordinate Trimble interaction with assigned Distributors, including Channel Development Managers, Technical Sales Engineers, and Strategic Account Managers and when there is shared distribution, coordinating with other Trimble divisions selling to Distributor.
Provide frontline support to Distributor sales and administrative personnel as needed to facilitate the sales process.
Be current on competitive manufacturer or other competitor distributor activities in the region, report information internally together with recommendations as required.
Write monthly sales reports in accordance with a defined template.
Scope of the role:
The Sales Account Manager will typically manage 4-10 Distributor partners and reports to a Regional Sales Manager
Providing the primary support for his/her accounts to Facilitate day to day business with Trimble, and to achieve quarterly revenue targets.
Longer-term activities are built around the execution of a defined development plan for each Distributor. This includes, but is not limited to Distributor training, recruitment assistance, and continuous involvement in local promotions, events, and marketing activities.
Continuous Distributor personnel evaluation, development, and training are also a key role in the development and maintenance of an effective sales channel.
Developing a permanent contact with the market and its main actors (decision-makers, influencers, strategic accounts, Universities).
Skills & Experience Required:
Degree in business with a demonstrated ability to learn and apply technology or college degree in geomatics, surveying engineering
Sales experience required within a similar sector
English speaker with either French or Italian as a native/second language
Strong sales and management skills within a technical environment
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, but also be highly autonomous
Fast learner and integrate new technologies into sales activities
Effective time management skills and a high level of responsiveness
Essentials:
The applicant must live inside Europe in a location that is conducive to international travel and support within the defined territory. The applicant will be expected to travel up to 50%. Primary work location is open to discuss.
