The Key Account Manager in France will be responsible for the sales of VIAVI products at major accounts, such as Bouygues Telecom, FREE, Altice France. In addition, this role will have the responsibility to develop business with dedicated focus into adjacent vertical markets, such as Data Centres, Utilities and Transport. In order to drive new business into new markets and expand products and services at existing accounts, the Key Account Manager In this role will need to create account plans, execute the selected sales and GTM strategy, in collaboration with the Solution Engineer, the Channel Manager, the Business Units of relevance and the Marketing organization. Penetration into new vertical markets will also require a good deal of business development activity, especially for those areas that represent today a green field for VIAVI Solutions.
As a Key Account Manager your main responsibilities will involve:
Maximizing VIAVI sales at existing accounts and seeking new business opportunities for field instruments and complex systems sales
Driving VIAVI CIVT product portfolio into adjacent market verticals (Datacenter, Utilities, Transport, etc.), with special focus on Fiber and 5G greenfield deployments.
Performing business development activity in the greenfield markets, including market study
Performing promotion activities (in the form of mail marketing campaigns, etc.)
Provide reporting to management, relating to funnel & its status and sales forecasting
Provide feedback that strengthens company position in the market
Initiate and develop executive alignment within strategic areas of the key accounts
Executing growth plans while meeting deliverables and timeliness for strategic initiatives
Coordinating customer involvement with key strategic initiatives
Visiting customers and traveling across France
Liaising with divisional contacts
Preparing quotation with emphasis on benefits, feature, technical, commercial and contractual requirement, and order confirmation details
Providing pre and post sales service to customers and following up delivery
Developing business, account and deal plans
Qualifications
Your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Bachelor of electrical and electronic engineering or Communications related fields
Strong Technical Sales and Marketing experience demonstrating consistent growth/success in the communications or a related industry
Effective at executive level selling in a key account
Skilled at functional (matrix) management and team selling approach
Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and interpersonal
Performs above and beyond delegated tasks with little supervision
High level of technical knowledge of Test & Measurement sector and related field instrumentation
Strong business drive and business development capability
Ability to adhere to complex multinational organization processes and procedures
