Position Summary:
This role supports the Telco Sales Organization with the primary focus to deliver commercial expertise for large and complex sales opportunities within the EMEA communications service provider sector.
This is a hands-on role that partners with extensive customer facing teams to provide first-rate commercial consultancy throughout the sales cycle. The role necessitates an attention to detail required to create complex financial models but also requires confident and clear communication to ensure successful internal and customer engagement across a range of stakeholders.
We are looking for a highly motivated talent as a self-starter and a team player who is comfortable working with evolving technology concepts.
The selected candidate should expect to operate within a dynamic environment.
Location: the role can be located anywhere in EMEA.
Role Responsibilities:
Senior commercial consultant for EMEA large/complex Telco opportunities
Work within and lead the commercial aspects of multi-functional teams to produce high quality customer proposals
Develop, orchestrate, and present financial evaluation and business cases
Negotiate high value/risk commercial arrangements within agreed parameters
Champion internal commercial evaluation with senior management
Promote best practice and functional excellence
Profile:
The ideal candidate will be experienced in supporting complex technology solution sales pursuits through creating compelling customer commercial proposals.
Advanced numeracy and communication skills combined with deep Telecommunications business acumen help command a position of commercial expert within experienced multi-functional virtual teams.
A considered and engaging interpersonal approach developed from a significant range of senior level B2B customer interactions with an inquisitive and innovation orientated mindset.
Self-motivated, driven and organised with a naturally calm demeanour during busy periods.
Sought after industry backgrounds include Network Equipment Providers, Hyperscale Cloud Providers, and leading Consulting Firms.
Requirements/Competencies:
Significant customer facing experience in similar roles
In-depth knowledge of the EMEA telecommunications market
Experience of working within international teams
Significant financial/commercial acumen
Proven negotiation skills
Excellent communication skills
Willingness to travel (predominantly EMEA) [subject to Government guidelines]
Fluent in English
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent [desired]
Specific knowledge of fixed or mobile telecommunication networks [desired]
