Zendesk is looking for an experienced Regional Vice President, Commercial Sales who has a proven track record in success with a solution/value driven sales approach in SaaS. Ideal candidates will possess strong sales management experience, as well as deep knowledge of sales cycles, likely from experience as an individual contributor.
This is an opportunity to take a solidly established brand and accelerate growth across South Europe through a series of strategic initiatives, growth in headcount and new product introductions over the next few years. The right individual for this role will bring a combination of in-depth sales leadership expertise and a passion for great cross-functional collaboration, while playing a key role in leading a highly visible and motivated sales team that focuses on both Inside Sales and Strategic Enterprise accounts.
Responsibilities:
Providing strategic input to develop and grow the Zendesk business in the region.
Build and execute on a regional sales plan to include cross-functional collaboration and delivery from Marketing, Pre-Sales, Success, Services and SDR organisations.
Engage as a member of the EMEA Go To Market management team.
Supporting direct reports - both managers and individual contributors - by participating and leading in prospect meetings and engaging other corporate resources as required.
Ongoing mentoring and development of the sales team, including recruiting, on-boarding and training new Account Executives.
Conducting weekly forecast meetings. Coaching direct reports on strategies to drive closure.
Reporting on all aspects of the business to senior sales management.
Consistently monitoring sales productivity and tracking the results.
Required Skills:
10 years of software sales experience in an individual contributor and management role, including 3+ years (or more) of second line management experience
Currently and successfully managing a team of Sales Managers and directly manage teams of Commercial Account Executives in a B2B software solution sales environment.
Excellent presentation and listening skills.
Ability to hire and train new Account Executives.
