What you’ll do:
Positions holders are responsible for analysing financial information and producing management reports for internal and external reporting and decision-making purposes. Information analysed includes inventory, costs, revenue, expenditure, cash flow, profitability, operating performance, and budgets. Activities include cost accounting and budgeting; strategic planning for business scenario modelling; analysing qualitative and quantitative data to assess financial and business performance against KPIs; and possibly analysing project pricing and performance against budget.


Your key responsibilities:


Planning Cycle Support



Oversee the strategic planning activities, including 5 Year Plan, Annual Budget and forecast consisting of issuing clear guidelines, deliverables, timeline, support to sector BPs and provide European consolidation analysis
Participate to the capital review with Europe fleet team
Provide an external perspective and scan the macro environment for emerging trends in the market and feed through that insight to the Business Partners and ELT.
Support the implementation of an Aggreko wide planning tool as well as FP&A related system upgrades.

Internal Reporting



Month end activities, perform P&L reviews and consolidate European P&L, delivery of all group required templates, analysis, bridges. Provide European costs analysis both Operational and central  overheads detailed analysis vs forecast, budget and PY.
Engage with other streams within Finance (OTC, RTR and STP) and Wipro for clear understanding of the financial process and alignment
Promote the use of the company's business intelligence system to provide insight into the performance of the business
Provide analytical insight into a broad range of financial and commercial issues.
Prepare/review and distribute Performance Dashboard Metrics reports
Promote in-depth understanding of the business and help define relevant drivers for performance analytics
Assist in the preparation of business presentation materials (EPR, QPR..)
Maintain an in-depth understanding of business processes including financial, operational, and sales
Oversee the capital request and approval process, participate to clear understanding of capex engagement vs Budget and forecast
Develop and establish standard reporting templates and metrics
Perform standard analysis and reporting, including profitability and unit cost analysis

Ad-hoc analysis



Manage and deliver ad-hoc analysis to key stakeholders on a timely fashion
Prepare P&L standard templates to provide to ops and sales team for profitability reviews of projects. Together with analysts and BPS support the review of major projects
Support Group PLC with ad-hoc requirements relevant for the Group consolidation and analysis (including results presentation)
Review ongoing ad-hoc requests to determine if any requirements are requested often and work to incorporate into the standard suite of reports/analysis provided to Finance Business Partners.

Management



Manage the development of a team of FP&A analysts by setting performance targets, ensuring adequate training and actively increasing skill level to provide agreed level of expertise to the business
Manage the day to day delivery of work of a team of analysts ensuring SLAs are met and quality standards are maintained.
Organize the FP&A team of analysts to ensure alignment with stakeholders and strong business fit
Be aware of ongoing trends in FP&A and analytics as well as best practice to promote adoption of new tools, technology and processes with the Global Process Owner

Sounds like you?  Here’s what you’ll need to demonstrate:


Education / Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from an accredited college or university or equivalent years of work experience

Professional skills / experience



Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience including of heavy analytic responsibilities and direct support provided to Business Management
Minimum of 3 years managing a team of analysts
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Deep experience in preparing financial reports, building and utilising financial and operational decision-making models, trend analysis and forecasting
Strong experience in managing a team of analysts providing FP&A activities
Ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience
Experience with Infor ERP environment, an EPM solution, Financial Consolidation systems and BI
Advanced use of Microsoft office (primarily excel and powerpoint)

Personal skills / Experience



Adaptable to a highly dynamic environment
Able to work in a geographically dispersed global organisation
High level of credibility and ability on dealing with sensitive information
Present high level of accountability
