Structured Finance and Derivatives Associate
A well-known firm is seeking a skilled Structured Finance and Derivatives Associate to join their esteemed team in Paris. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advising clients on complex structured finance and derivatives transactions, including securitisation, structured products, and derivatives contracts. With a focus on providing strategic advice and innovative solutions, the Associate will work closely with partners and clients to navigate regulatory challenges and achieve optimal outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Provide expert advice on structured finance and derivatives transactions, including securitisation, collateralised debt obligations (CDOs), and derivatives contracts.
Conduct legal research and analysis to support clients in understanding and complying with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Draft and review legal documents, including transactional agreements, offering documents, and derivatives contracts.
Assist clients in structuring and negotiating complex finance transactions, including credit facilities and structured products.
Advise clients on regulatory matters related to structured finance and derivatives, including compliance with EMIR and other relevant regulations.
Collaborate with colleagues across different practice areas, including banking and capital markets, to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
Keep abreast of developments in structured finance and derivatives law and provide insights to clients on potential implications for their businesses.
Qualifications:
Qualified solicitor or avocat with significant experience in structured finance and derivatives law.
Strong academic background, with a law degree from a reputable institution.
Extensive knowledge of French and EU structured finance and derivatives regulations.
Proven experience advising clients on a wide range of structured finance and derivatives transactions.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical and commercial advice.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
