What You’ll Do


As a member of Village Neuf site management team, the Controller will be driving critical investment decisions, ensuring cost competitiveness, and delivering value to business and customers.


Your work experience of min 10 years in manufacturing controlling and your hands on mentality make you the perfect match for this exciting opportunity. Please be aware that this role requires fluent French.


Your key responsibilities



You have ultimate financial leadership on the site
You are responsible for evaluating the financial performance of the site at month close, monitoring spending trends and variances to budget, explaining key performance metrics
Control production variances: organize & support efforts to reduce unfavorable variances and targeted cost reduction projects
Provide additional insight to operations on metrics such as scrap, cost of quality, labor, inventory fluctuations and obsolescence
Lead product costing, cycle design and output consumption analysis
Proactively analyze and communicate forward-looking insights with key stakeholders
Annual budget and ongoing forecasts: work with site management to develop capacity requirements by plants, along with expense, capital and inventory budgets
Play a critical role in site invest board, review capital project justification with financial analysis, track spending and monitor project performance
Take people responsibility for site finance team
As key member of OPS Finance community, you contribute to best practice exchange and talent development, actively promote agile culture and digital way of working, and pioneer sustainability practices

You bring



Degree in Finance and/or ACCA, CPA or any other financial certification
Minimum 10 years professional experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience as site controller  
Ability to effectively operate in virtual teams across the region and worldwide


French language is mandatory, English language fluency
Strong Financial Business Partner who has natural ability to challenge and support business leadership teams with diverse backgrounds
Strong interpersonal communications, influencing skills and stakeholder management; can express her/his ideas with ease and flair
Able to cope with strict deadlines and time schedules within a matrix reporting relationship
Drive for results, pro-active attitude with “can-do” mentality
High level of conceptual and analytical skills
Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office and Business Warehouse
A bright, courageous and curious mind
Enthusiasm and openness to learn on the job
Brilliant collaborative skills

Important note:


This job title is temporary and will be adjusted once the job grading structure for the new Group will be adopted (covering among others: grades’ design, job evaluations, calibration, and job titles’ nomenclature). Until these adjustments are finalized, current compensation packages will be grandfathered for those whose new position turns out to be graded lower than their current position. This temporary period will last not more than 24 months for the legacy DSM Executives or legacy FIR SLT members, and not more than 12-18 months for all other employees from the moment the candidate moves into their new position.
