Navigation Systems Test Engineer (f/m)

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Navigation Systems Test Engineer (f/m) to join our Avionics Test Integration Center based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of a team of 25 persons within the Airbus Flight and Integration Tests centre. This team is in charge of providing maturity statements of NAVIGATION, SURVEILLANCE and COMMUNICATION systems, following integration tests performed through Benches or Simulators, and Post Test Flights analysis.

NAVIGATION and SURVEILLANCE is a wide range of avionics systems such as Air Data Inertial Reference System , Radio Altimeter, Weather Radar, Traffic collision Avoidance, Instrument Landing System…..

Our team vision is to define experiment and industrialize future methods and means to perform those tests, in line with company objectives:

Contribute to the Autonomy Research & Technology Roadmap for Single Pilot Operation
Develop New Tests solutions based on new technologies (e.g. Artificial Intelligence..) for testing the next aircraft generation (zero Emission, Single Pilot, Visual Based Landing…)
Decrease Aircraft Development timeframe while increase systems maturity before their deliveries to our customers

Your challenges:

Defining testing strategy for new systems, with the support of our navigation expert team member
Defining the necessary test means
Performing Lab and flight test exploitation from 1st system prototypes to real systems to be certified.
Establishing a strong collaboration link within the team and stakeholders and get the knowledge all NAVigation systems new architectures

Your boarding pass:

Master in aeronautics
First professional experience in aeronautics
Matlab / C / Python coding (a plus)
Validation and Verification process knowledge (V&V)
Project management knowledge (agile / waterfall)
Advance level of English

Salary range based on the required profile: 45 to 55 K€/year (including a variable part based on your performance). Information provided as an indication.
