Overall function

As Product Manager - Project, you will be responsible for the development and management of Astro's international product portfolio for the Project channel, which is focussed primarily on the hospitality and high-end residential sectors. You will oversee products throughout the Product Lifecycle, from conception to commercialisation and eventual exit from the range. You will be the go-to expert on the products in your portfolio, as well as identifying the commercial and technical requirements and competitive landscape by project sector. You will also ensure that the portfolio meets the regional variations necessary across our international territories. Responsibilities

Portfolio Management Delivering new products on time against the 3-year product roadmap Launching new products to internal teams and international partners and provide thorough training and sales tools such as samples and product literature. Driving product innovation – specifying and delivering new products into channel which offer competitive and unique value propositions and are validated by a strong and credible business case. Regularly researching the industry to maintain awareness of competitors and customers and identifying risks, opportunities and changing customer requirements. Developing market insights across international territories, from quantitative and qualitive market research methods to provide sound justification for product and channel strategy. Visiting customers both in the UK and internationally to develop deeper understanding of channel requirements. Supporting the sales and marketing teams with technical expertise and representing Astro at international exhibitions.

Personal Attributes

4+ years' experience in a product / product management role ideally for a B2B company with a specification product portfolio. Analytical mind-set, and comfortable making data driven decisions. Experience of working in hospitality / FF&E is a bonus. Understanding of decorative lighting and lighting technologies is a bonus. To be focussed, energetic and prepared to go above and beyond.
