Overview Working in an experienced product team, the Product Specialist's key responsibilities include using extensive domain knowledge and experience to work both with developers and customers to influence the direction of the product. Product Specialists are capable of producing product requirements and use cases and participating with engineers on developing prototype and total solutions. Product Specialists are the subject matter expert (SME) for their domain area and /or region and as such work with and effectively communicate with developers and customers in order to understand the requirements for the product moving into the future.
Job Description Business Analysis
Understanding of product; requirements for releases. Provide business analysis of problems and new requests.
Scoping and Planning
Effectively manages personal workload for assigned product areas utilizing internal systems, ensuring prioritized, timely and accurate responses to development requests. Participation in planning for product and releases (roadmap). Collect, synthesize and prioritize customer feedback, using a combination of live customer feedback sessions, review of local change requests, review of product suggestions and additional feedback mechanisms. Once synthesized and priorities the lists are then submitted for Release consideration and allocation.
Software Development Cycle
Develop use cases, product requirements and functional requirements for new functionality. Participate in project teams with developers and other key staff to develop new functionality for the product. Works closely with end users and internal staff to understand workflow processes that impact change request requirements to ensure implementation of developed changes satisfy stated needs. Support QA, support and implementation in understanding new functionality.
Release Deliverables
Prepares and delivers product material, specifications, product documentation, release notes, presentations and demonstrations as needed to support knowledge sharing, learning, pre-sales and customer requirements.

Qualifications

4+ Years practical domain experience Demonstrated domain expertise in PAS / billing and/or DRG with clear understanding of healthcare in hospitals facilities and a knowledge of the associated regulatory ; understanding healthcare workflows processes Background working with a vendor or consultancy in a similar role Experience in writing use cases, requirements, or functional documentation for healthcare applications. Previous experience working with healthcare applications at an in depth level Tertiary education in either a Medical domain or Health Informatics

Education & Training

Bachelor's Degree in computer science, quantitative field, or equivalent
