Job Description:

Microchip’s MPU32 group offers microprocessors which rightly balances the performance, power, cost and comes with advanced security capabilities which caters to a multitude of applications. With a broad set of peripherals and interfaces, these MPUs can support a wide range of applications. Point of sales systems, home and industrial automation systems, automotive infotainment etc. are just a few among various supported end uses.   

MPU32 group is looking for a new Test Engineer to develop test software and hardware solutions for its new product development activity. This position includes working in an international environment and interacting with design, applications, marketing, validation, and product engineering teams.

The successful candidate will develop capabilities to perform the following duties:

Create device test plans

Design test load boards and probe boards (schematic and layout specifications)

Develop and validate analog, parametric, and digital logic tests (using Automated Test Equipment) at both wafer and package levels to provide high quality devices to our customers at minimum costs

Sustain test programs to improve yield and cost of test for high volume production

Design and develop generic software tools to improve test solutions development efficiency

Requirements/Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering with about 3 years of related engineering experience (NCG also accepted)

Software experience in C/C++ and Python required

Familiar with test and/or measurement equipment

Good knowledge of electronic circuits and semiconductor device physics

Ability to comprehend and review electronic components datasheets

Ability to communicate and work with different cultures in different countries

Good English speaking and writing skills

Synthesis and communication skills

Able to travel if needed
