Role purpose

To help us expand our position as global leaders in the luxury private rental space, we’re looking for a Product Manager to join our Product team in Paris.

As the product team, we think about our customers and users first and foremost, focusing all our energy on providing an exceptional experience that will change people’s lives inside and outside of the company.

The technical functions available internally in support of the activity of the Product Manager include:

Duties and responsibilities

Identify functional requirements interacting with business teams to ensure the relevant operational processes are optimised and business objectives fulfilled

Create effective functional specifications working with our Engineering teams to provide the most suited solution to fulfil business requirements, including acceptance criteria for the QA engineer

Work with the Product Design team to create mock-ups and provide designs for interfaces and user interactions across the products in your perimeter

Manage the backlog of features working with the wider team to build business cases and prioritise stories to ensure maximum return over investment

Organise and supervise the delivery of all projects within your perimeter alongside the Engineering teams from inception to UAT

Oversee the technical integration of your products with neighbouring systems ensuring the efficient and resilient exchange of information via APIs

Act as a proactive channel of communication with stakeholders, organising regular meetings, providing progress updates, escalating decisions and facilitating trade-offs

Coordinate the launch of new features by creating documentation, holding training sessions, providing support, monitoring performance and user adoption post-launch

Master the configuration of the tools within your perimeter in order to make functional changes when required, empowering users along the way

Constantly monitor the performance of your product including business KPIs, scalability, data integrity, user behaviour and overall health or even licences

Coordinate the escalation process, providing support to end users for escalated issues in collaboration with IT Support and Engineering teams.

Develop a roadmap for your perimeter, own the functional architecture of your products and work with the Product team to formalise a global product vision

Act as a strategic point of reference for your perimeter when discussing with senior stakeholders, vendors, customers, partners or anybody else outside of the company

Qualifications and experience

2+ years of product management experience including delivery of entire products from start to finish

A good degree from a great university or equivalent professional experience

Experience in agile methodology

Knowledge of the private rental / hospitality industry is a plus

Good working knowledge of product management best practices with a customer-centric view of the world focusing on delivering value both to business and users

Good overall business acumen understanding how a function or a company is operated with a focus on processes, KPIs and team dynamics

Proven record of project management skills including scope, programme, resource and budget management leveraging the relevant software tools for tracking

Sound technical notions around functional architecture, data models, integration, user management and a natural disposition to finding your way around tools (explicit engineering background is not necessarily required)

Experience working with technical teams particularly a good understanding of technical specifications, development processes and user testing

Strong ability to communicate with business users and stakeholders presenting very different levels of adoption and technological skills – English proficiency required

Strong ability to manage your own time, prioritize tasks, identify problems, their cause and find solutions while continuing to run day-to-day operations

Result-oriented approach to problem solving, ensuring on-time delivery of value by being able to make trade-offs between tactical and sustainable choices

Strategic and critical thinker who is analytical, forward thinking and can reconcile targeted needs with the bigger picture accounting for dependencies and constraints
