Global Product Manager CI – Implant for Oticon Medical
Do you have a strong technical background in the Cochlear Implant business, a commercial attitude and experience in the medical device industry as product manager? Are you motivated by translating market inputs into technical features?
Then you might be a good match for Oticon Medical. You will be located in the French part of our HQ, in the beautiful and lively Cote d’Azur - just outside Nice.

The Global Product Manager CI – Implant at Oticon Medical contributes to manage the product portfolio of the internal part of the Cochlear Implant (CI) business of the company, making sure to launch the right products at the right time within the right markets.
As an important link between the markets and the rest of the organization, this individual is in charge of the frontloading activities to define new CI surgical devices. (S)he understands the market trends, translates them into product features, defines the USPs and the main claims, and (s)he is an important contributor to the development of the overall product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

Frontloading activities:

Identifying relevant market insights through interaction with professionals, end users, sales organization, R&D, Customer Service and rest of the Surgical Program. Developing, maintaining, and growing relationships with key customers and KOLs. Contributes to developing USPs and the main product messages in cooperation with the Go-to-Market (G2M) part of the organization Translating market needs into product features to be then developed together with the technical partners of the Surgical Program. Define the evidence roadmap to support the product Define the business plan of a product, focusing on Value, Effort, Time, market Needs and in alignment with the global Strategy

Development

Partnering with the rest of the Surgical Program during the development of products, ensuring that the point of view of the customer and the patient is included in product specifications. Cooperating with the Clinical Research Dept and the technical team to execute the evidence roadmap

Others

Supporting the development of company’s strategies through active contribution to Product and Commercial roadmaps. Cooperating with the RA/QA dept to handle post-market surveillance outcomes and translate the user needs into product improvements.

Requirements
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in product management with solid business acumen and knowledge of the medical device market environment is required.A solid knowledge of at least 2 years of the Cochlear implant business, especially the internal part.A bachelor's degree is required. Postgraduate degree is preferred. MBA is a plus.Shows solid opinion about trends, necessary product improvements, and a natural interest in consumer behavior and competitive product strategies.Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks through effective prioritization in order to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities.Skilled at effectively communicating and collaborating with multiple stakeholders in a matrix organization.Proactive, strong problem-solving skills, comfortable in challenging existing practices and the status quo.Strong individual contributor, with the ability to also work well in a team, especially with other Product Managers and with other functions in the Surgical Program. Speaks up when important information or questions must be raised and takes action when issues must be addressed.Excellent presentation skillsFluent in English. Knowledge of other European languages is a plusWilling to travel up to 30% of the time (when the Covid pandemics will be over).
