Discover Rakuten AquafadasThe Product Manager is responsible for the company products throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, creating the buy-in for this product vision both internally and with key clients.
The position reports to Marketing Director. The Product Manager will work with Company Marketing Director, CTO, Product owners and engineering managers, as well as directly with clients. He will have to regularly provide product development and roadmaps status. He will also communicate with company leadership team, including executives of Rakuten Group and clients.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITY, RESULT AREAS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Defines, maintains and communicate product vision, product strategy and product features lifecycle - from launch to withdrawal Defines product planning process across cross-functional teams of the company Analyze consumer needs, customer experience and market trends to build better products. Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction, final product development and version releases by engineering teams Create product strategy documents that describe high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI (Business Cases) Provides ROI analysis for product/features development. Evaluates potential partnerships to deliver build vs. buy perspective Seeks opportunities for product and features differentiation vs competition Analyze product requirements and leads appropriate programs to ensure requirements are successful developed and launched Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding – internally and externally Develop, implement, maintain and communicates roadmaps with production timelines across multiple departments for implementation. Builds and maintains release plan prioritizing the product requirements Collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing and sales teams. Coordinating the development, QA and release of products to deliver with quick time-to-market and with optimal resources. Drive the execution of product lifecycle processes. This includes : product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, product launch, product impact analysis, end of life assessments. Develop product descriptions, highlighting what differentiates our product and its features across market segments Appraise new product ideas and strategize appropriate to-market plans in close relation with head of Marketing and Head of sales Analyze market data to define product objectives for effective marketing communications plans and developing sales strategies Coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production; go-to-market and sales costs; anticipating volumes. + 8 years experience with Product Management and Product development Have successfully conducted at least two major projects of launching products, involving internal cross-teams and Clients Experience in People Management (Direct or functional management of a Po team) Skills in Planning, Experienced in Competitive Analysis, understanding and analysis of customer requirements Inventory Control, Financial Planning and Strategy Requirements analysis including pricing and planning Perform risk management to minimize product development risks; Report and escalate to management as needed. Ability to drive cross-team with demonstrated skills to deal with other departments, to collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members and with external company (sub-contractors, etc), within international environment. Proven ability to influence others across the organization and build trust with a wide range of audiences Is an adept at agile development, project and change management. Demonstrated excellent communication leadership (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills Acts as a role model to enable team to deliver products in a timely manner Have experience in C-Level reporting. Have a strong hands-on experience with product management and project management tools Have a high level of organization. Have the ability to perform under pressure. Have an analytical, rigorous and synthetic mind. Must be available to travel (international and national) Is fluent in French and English.
