The Role: Senior Product Manager, European Government & Regulatory Strategy
The Grade : G11 (internal use only)
The Location: London, UK or Paris, France
Overview : We are seeking a senior product management to develop our regulatory strategy, grow our European Government business and work closely with our clients to champion product development. The role will report into our Government Segment product lead and work closely with the European commercial organization. Expectations of the candidate is to perform the following:
Surveil and assess regulations & accounting changes and how they impact clients as well as how existing products best address these regulations/accounting changes, Develop and execute a growth strategy for S&P Market Intelligence products in the Europe region and collaborate closely with the broader European and global Commercial and Product teams. Execute on product development initiatives, including product testing, to enhance our product offerings to serve the clients and prospects based on new and existing regulations

Accountabilities :
Business Accountability - 25%
Overall accountability for understanding of regulations in both draft and final form
Measure and monitor how these regulations impact S&P Global Market Intelligence and our clients
Growth of the business as determined by annual goals and long-term strategic planning
Market Analysis & Strategic Planning- 25%
Establish strong senior customer relationships in the regulatory area
Open up potentially new segments and markets for the firm. Pursue opportunities where our offering either matches regulations or can evolve to address regulations.
Develop strong internal relationships with senior-level Commercial and Product stakeholders to promote the need to address the regulatory environment and develop focused regulatory packages
Build and continually enhance personal domain knowledge for the regulatory environment
Go-To-Market - 25%
Support broader regional and global initiatives stemming from regulation straddling Sales campaigns and Product enhancement and development
Engage in external events to help promote S&P Global Market Intelligence’s expertise across our markets of focus
Responsible for the on-going training needs of the Europe Commercial team
Product Development – 25%
Work closely with the commercial team and clients to gather requirements around new data sets, reporting and functionality that meets the needs of our clients
Work closely with project managers and technology to execute on new product initiatives
Testing of the platform including both new and existing functionality that support the government and regulatory strategy
What We Are Looking For:Basic Qualifications:
Experience working in the financial regulations space ideally within a government regulatory body or a large financial institution is a must
Ability to monitor, synthesize, and assess high level aspects of regulations and communicate the impact of this both internally and to the external audience with varying degrees of subject matter knowledge
Understanding of the Business Development Life Cycle
Self-starter with strong initiative but also works well within a team
Experience executing cross teams without hierarchical control including working with a commercial team, marketing and technology
University degree in a related field, MBA with concentration in finance preferred
