PA Product Senior Manager - Talent & Skills

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Talent and Skills is at the top of CEO agenda and a key topic and one of the 3 pillars of the POP Practice. It contains several major offering of POP : Talents Accelerator (including Strategic Workforce Planning, Talent Builder, Tech Talent transformation), BOT and BCG U.
We are seeking a strong candidate to work closely with Vinciane Beauchene, Global Leaders of the Talent and Skills topics as well as a broader leadership & expert team, as the Product Senior Manager for the Topic. In this role, you will in particular help reshape the portfolio of offers around Talents and Skills and develop a new Talent Accelerator offer, leveraging existing POP propositions and capabilities and help building a new E2E Talent Platform with BCG X / GAMMA. This platform, top priority for the POP Practice, will be a key enabler for BCG Talent & Skills Offering.
As a Product Manager, you will be leading and coordinating the different Product Management activities for the Talent and Skills topic, to support the development of the offer, supporting the build of the platform our business, in particular including:
• Product Strategy and Plan. Alongside topic leadership, jointly drives yearly planning exercise around our BCG Talent and Skills offer, articulating the needs / pain points from our clients, how they evolve and how our offer responds to these needs and how we differentiate from competitors. You will be supporting the development of a clear architecture for the topic, looking at the articulation of different offers in the topic and other POP offers, articulation around end-to-end programs, and connection with other BCG offers.
• Product Development. In collaboration with experts and knowledge teams, contribute to the development and dissemination of the Talent and Skills topic content; in particular ensure consistency between different content initiatives
• Prioritization and Backlog Management. Help teams align on priorities, based on the plan and manage the backlog of activities to support the development of the offer, in particular the talent platform, as well as communication and marketing activities (internally and externally)
• Product Marketing and Communication. Together with the leadership team and marketing teams, develop product narrative, as well as communication plan and contribute to its execution
• Sales and Execution Support: contribute to relevant plans to build necessary capabilities internally (or externally) to best support the offer execution; support training and enablement of our teams.
• Management and support to the go-to-market –GTM) per Industry sector. In collaboration with different BCG sector teams, align on Industry Sector priorities and specific GTM plans (incl. customized content needed, specific campaigns, of priority clients)
• Product Governance. Support the leadership team in setting up and orchestrating the right governance, prepare and facilitate the regular meetings / calls associated to it
• Strategic analysis and reporting. With support of the PA and Finances team, put in place relevant KPIs and processes to monitor progress against defined OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) for the team and help track business progress.
As part of a Senior Manager in the Product Management BCG community, you will work closely with your topic teams, and with your Product Management colleagues and contribute to the testing / refining and exchange of best practices across the community. You will also be expected to become Product Management chapter lead in a short to mid-term and help manage and coach other Product Managers. You will also contribute to broader initiatives and special projects launched by the Product Managers community. As a Product Manager, your area of focus may evolve as the market require to develop new offers, adapt existing ones.

YOU'RE GOOD AT

Successful candidates will feel comfortable operating in a "start-up mode" within BCG and with multiple players, have strong project management skills, the aptitude to see and hold the big picture, yet also manage the details. Comfort with ambiguity, evolving priorities and eagerness to lean in to support team/projects when needed, are also pre-requisites.
In particular, successful candidates will show the following abilities:
• Orchestrate complex agendas, align senior leadership on a common vision, prioritizing activities and working with others to get things done (in a distributed organization)
• Manage and execute projects efficiently; provide hands-on support to multiple activities, often requiring strong consulting skills (slides writing, effective communication, some analytics…)
• Collaborate and communicate with various teams and individuals, with different level of seniority in different geographies and with different background; be able to communicate with senior leaders and be a connection point for the community

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

Desired Skills/Experience
• Experience managing successful products, including defining vision, strategy, outcome-driven product roadmaps and creating and managing backlogs
• Experience articulating product value proposition
• Demonstrated ability to define and track KPIs and other measurable success criteria
• Experience working directly with clients and/or collecting client feedback and user experience
• Ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps
• Experience with either lean startup methodologies and agile development methodologies
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor Degree Required; Advanced Degree Preferred
• 8+ years industry experience or 6+ years consulting experience [to be adapted if looking for Senior Manager]
• Experience as a project leader/senior consultant or professional in the area of Talent and Skills, or in Transformation of large corporations, or within a startup preferred
• Previous experience in BCG is a plus, ideally in a Project Leader or BST manager roles
• Highly knowledgeable and analytic
• High motivation and interest for Digital topic is a must

Our business management and operations team members work to ensure that BCG is running smoothly, efficiently, and productively. We are made up of executive and administrative (or case team) assistants, visual service artists, receptionists, facilities staff, and the team leaders and office coordinators who manage these operations and business management jobs.
