Purpose of the role
The Product Owner CB 5.5 France is responsible for the
Axis CB 5.5 product life cycle and managing the CB 5.5 features backlog to maximize the value of Axis delivery. This fundamental role in CB 5.5 features design and delivery is in close collaboration with other (internal and external) stakeholders such as GIE CB, PayCert, FrenchSys, ELITT laboratory, Product Managers (PM) France, Customer success managers (CSM), project managers France, own design/delivery team/squad, or customers.
You are the expert on CB 5.5 and Axis related solutions product and use your knowledge and drive for designing and delivering new or upgraded products or functionalities within your area of expertise.
You are the voice of the regulator/customer in your Design and Delivery team and you are as a team responsible for the quality that is delivered to the customers in production.
Deliverables / Tasks
Prioritize the backlog and manage the lifecycle:
Define and own the Axis CB 5.5 product functionalities and prioritize them into their
Product backlog for CB 5.5 France area and functional specifications (i.e. breaking down the solution into epics and user stories) (note: PM create Business initiatives)
Get input from Product managers and other (internal and external) stakeholders such as CSM, project managers, IT tribe lead, payment authorities or customers.
Provide the Product Manager France with information to prioritize the business initiatives to manage the dependencies within and across tribes pro-actively.
Manage the balance between priority for incident/problem tickets, technical developments, CB compliance topics, operational excellence, and new Axis product features.
Manage stakeholders:
Align other Product Owners to safeguard cross-squad or cross-tribe deliveries to manage dependencies and ensure deliveries (esp. epics/ user stories)
Validate Epic/User Stories with stakeholders (like for instance Client Operations)
Oversee product deliveries to the organization:
Provide all relevant internal CB 5.5 documentation and knowledge on the delivered Axis components to product managers, in such a way that they can create training material and work with the CB 5.5 solution.
Provide build cost and timeline estimations as inputs to the business case for new CB 5.5 related features.
Provide all relevant internal documentation and knowledge on the delivered product component to own team, in such a way that they can create support procedures, deploy, and monitor efficiently
Lead your squad:
Educate and motivate the CB5.5 squad by means of providing functional information and context on what needs to be delivered and why: voice of regulators/customers
Responsible for (end-to-end) functional quality of the product deliveries together with own team
Work with the squad to define content of sprints and take responsibility for the content of the sprint
Work with the squad to achieve the best possible velocity.
Expert on your product
Analyse ELITT and client feedback for your area of expertise
Assess ideas on their business value and technical feasibility
Present and share vision to FrenchSys, client, management, and stakeholders

significant role requirements
Knowledge on GIE CB approval process, PCI and EMVCo requirements.
Five years’ experience in card payment for France market
Graduated at least at bachelor level
A good understanding of the Agile Method and the Scrum framework
Willing and able to travel occasionally
Excellent English language skills (both verbal and written).
Fulltime availability strongly preferred, minimum requirement of working 32 hours. Due to the high level of interaction between the squat/tribe members, full-time working from home is not desired.
Certified as Product Owner would be welcome
Technical Knowledge
Experienced in GIE CB approvals
Experienced user of Agile tooling (e.g. Jira, Confluence)
