Missions et responsabilités

In line with our Saint-Gobain ADFORS' sustainability roadmap, we are looking for a Sustainability Engineer to help our different Business units to capture the full potential of sustainability as a major growth & differentiation driver, both at global and local levels.

Focused mainly on the sustainable construction and mobility markets, Saint-Gobain ADFORS company o­ffers glass fiber materials and a complete range of textiles and coating technologies. We are the recognized leader in reinforcement technical textiles for construction markets thanks to the expertise built over the past 80 years. Within a global organization, he/she will work within the central R&D and Innovation team.

This person will collaborate with ADFORS Business unit teams to successfully accomplish the Life Cycle Assessment goals and BE a key player in the achievement of our ADFORS' sustainability roadmap. This includes :

- Leading as a project manager for product Life Cycle Assessments. This includes coordinating the team efforts and/or directly collecting and verifying data for production, product recipes, raw material usage, waste, water, energy, and packaging information at each of the manufacturing facilities in the study.

- Writing Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) reports and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) / Fiches de Déclaration environnementale et sanitaire (FDES).

- Analyzing LCA data in collaboration with stakeholders (Operations, Marketing and R&D) to assess hot spot areas for improvement and support in setting up related action plans.
- Organizing and facilitating trainings to educate the different ADFORS business units on LCA and eco-innovation methodologies and spread the use of sustainability tools by R&D team.

- Teaming up with central and local R&D teams to develop eco-innovation projects that would help the whole ADFORS organization meeting its sustainability goals.
- Leading studies (in collaboration with 3rd-party companies when needed) to provide our marketing teams with robust proofs to promote externally our product sustainability attributes.

Profil recherché

- Master Degree or PhD in Engineering or Science discipline (e.g. Materials / Polymer science; Chemical engineering; Textile engineering...).

- English and French (fluent).

- A first experience in LCA and EPD topics whatever the business area (preferably in the Btob industry or in a consulting firm) would BE highly appreciated.

- Advanced practice of Life Cycle Assessment and LCA tools (GaBi, Simapro...) is a nice-to-have.
