Bray Leino Software is a specialist boutique software development company who have been developing market leading software products for over 10 years. Bray Leino Software are developing a suite of web and mobile applications for the Healthcare Industry and are currently looking for a new team member to lead the development and test teams.

We are a small close-knit team that understand the importance of working hard whilst also making sure we enjoy ourselves. Taking part in competitions and charity work make working with us unique and exciting. Our funky office space reflects our relaxed inspired approach and no two days are the same.

What will I be doing?

We are looking for an experienced Software Developer who is passionate about building products that our customers love. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out products that deliver the company’s vision and strategy. This role will cover a number of key elements including both Product Management and Team Management.
Our ideal candidate will have experience across the following technologies:

• Microsoft SQL Server
• Node.js
• Ember.js
• HTML
• CSS
• JavaScript (incl. OOJS)

Key responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
• Gaining a deep understanding of customer experience, identifying and filling product gaps and generating new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
• Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
• Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
• Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
• Work closely with the teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
• Ensuring the Developers are adopting a best-practice approach to their work, writing clean code, utilising the latest technology and completing accurate documentation
• Ensuring the product is fully tested and released appropriately
• Managing the personal development of the development team and test team
• Translating Business requirements into a full product specification document that the development team then deliver against
• Working with the Software Project Manager to deliver within timescales and scope

About the person:

• Proven work experience in software development
• Experience/Exposure to product management
• Solid technical background with hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
• Experience of managing and developing a development team
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
• Ability to manage workload and priorities in line with business requirements
• Ability to translate what the customer needs/wants into a product
• Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
• Proven ability to develop product and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
