Position and Responsibilities :
In the fight to stop cancer, we seek an experienced bioinformatician / data scientist to drive our single cell sequencing data analysis.
You will integrate the bioinformatics platform and work in service delivery, in order to help several teams of biologists in the analysis of their single-cell data. You will work in close collaboration with the genomics platform which generates most of the sequencing data, as well as with various teams of biologists behind the projects, each with a specific biological subject. You will use the analysis pipelines already in place and participate in their development/improvement thanks to your bibliographic monitoring.
Summary of Key Responsibilities :
Develop and assess pipelines/methods for analysis of single cell data.
Use best practice for single cell methods including data normalization, dimension reduction, clustering, differential expression of genes, cell type/state analysis, cell to cell interaction, trajectory inference, spatial transcriptomic analysis and visualization.
Applies scientific expertise to help project teams to initiate, design and execute experiments, interpret results and publish in scientific journals.
Analyze, interpret and present results by following project management procedures.
Actively promote single-cell analysis, and the platform's know-how, inside and outside Gustave Roussy.
Help other internal bioinformaticians, in their single-cell data analysis, but also in technical questions on the use of programming languages or computer tools.
Votre profil :
Specific Skills :
An ideal candidate will be collaborative, self-governing and possess the following skills:
Prior expertise in analyzing and integrating scRNA-seq, scATAC-seq, scBCR/TCR-seq, CITE-seq datasets.
Knowledge and experience of single-cell spatial transcriptomics data (10x Visium) and single-cell genomics data (Tapestri) are a plus.
Familiarity with standard methods for bioinformatic data analysis and reference datasets for gene expression, mutations, and related platforms (TCGA / GTEX / Human Cell Atlas, panglaodb, cellphoneDB...) are a plus.
Proficiency in statistical, scripting programming (R / Python / bash), computing infrastructure (Linux environment and HPC) and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills (presenting complex concepts to diverse audiences).
Demonstrated contributions to multi-disciplinary collaborations.
Organizationally adaptable, adhering to established procedures, innovative and thriving in high complexity environments to deliver high quality work product in the face of multiple demands.
Education and experience :
BAC+5 in a computational, statistical, or bioinformatics related fields,
A minimum of 2-years research (academia or industry) experience.
Contract
Permanent site (CDI de chantier) full-time contract,
