As we grow ($23M raised in a Serie A in January => x2 headcount planned in 2022), in France, Europe and in the US, we are opening a new Scientific Director position, to work in the Data team with Issam Ibnouhsein the Head of Data.

Job Description

We need you

Joining the Data Team, reporting to the Head of Data, your mission is to participate in facilitating access to data in order to promote scalability. You will take part in the transition from a monolithic architecture to an approach combining Kafka with microservices on the cloud.

Design pipelines, know how to maintain and optimize them

Have a good knowledge of AWS and its services

Provide technical knowledge and have the will to build skills on Kafka, our future backbone technology

Provide expertise in data modeling to help build the company datamarts

To succeed in your mission, you will BE helped by an expert team of 15 people with very deep experience in Data Science applied to healthcare problems.

At Implicity, you will have a weekly meeting with your manager, to help you succeed in your mission, and continuously improve your skills.

Each team works with quarterly OKR, to BE crystal clear, fair and honest with your targets.
The annual appraisal is a shared exchange moment, focused on your development.

Languages : Python and / or Scala,

Preferred Experience

You are

To BE considered for this position, the following skills have to BE obvious on your education / experiences :
- Education : Master / Engineer.
- Master relational and document-oriented databases (MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Extensive knowledge of managed services on AWS.
- Good knowledge of Kafka.
- Knowing how to design and implement efficient and scalable data pipelines, in interaction with micro-services.
- Methodologies : Scrum, CI/CD.
- Fluent in English (French practice is a plus).

In addition, here are some important basics to succeed in this position :
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and networking skills : you love to work in a team.
- You are able to discuss and communicate about your work.
- Autonomy and curiosity to develop skills in new technologies.
- You have Leadership capacity, which will structure the team.
- Self-driven, able to work independently as well as on cross-functional teams.
- Pro-active and problem-solving attitude, very strong prioritization skills.

The bonus skills that would definitely make us pick you :
- Experience with large volumes of data.
- Experience in software as medical device.
