We are seeking a new Data Protection Officer (DPO) to join our organisation. The DPO will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and safeguarding our company's data assets. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data privacy laws, excellent communication skills, and the ability to implement and oversee data protection policies and practices.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance Management:
Monitor and ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations (GDPR).
Develop, implement, and update data protection policies and procedures.
Conduct data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) as required.
Data Privacy Training and Awareness:
Educate employees and contractors on data protection best practices.
Raise awareness about data protection across the organisation.
Incident Response and Reporting:
Develop and maintain an incident response plan for data breaches.
Report data breaches to the relevant authorities and affected individuals, as required.
Privacy by Design:
Collaborate with product and development teams to ensure privacy is considered from the outset of new projects and services.
Vendor Management:
Assess and monitor data protection practices of third-party vendors and partners.
Record-Keeping:
Maintain records of data processing activities, privacy policies, and consent forms.

Data Subject Requests:
Manage and facilitate data subject access requests (DSARs) and other data subject rights.

About You ð§‍ð

You have a master’s degree in law or information technology and you have initial experience in the same type of position.
You have in-depth knowledge of privacy and data protection issues with respect to digital platforms and technology and data-driven businesses;
You have experience in advising on privacy risk assessments and mitigations across digital products and new technologies;
You have experience in implementing privacy related controls and recommending privacy related KPIs;
You have experience in building and delivering reports to senior leadership;
You have experience in engaging with cross-functional business stakeholders to understand business processes, data flows, controls, and business needs;
You have experience in conducting training and awareness programs on data protection.
Fluency in French and English, a third European language is a plus.
