About the Role

Glad you are interested! We are looking for a highly motivated actuary / data scientist to help support our Insurance & Proposition team to optimize portfolio performance through pricing. Efficient risk segmentation integrated in the pricing models together with the consideration of behavioral and market data help are key elements when building a strategy that will ensure profitable growth and help the company deliver its financial targets. At iptiQ, we put innovation at the heart of business and in this position you will have the opportunity to participate in the development and implementation of the pricing strategy at key customer moments after subscription: at renewal and at mid-term policy changes.

As part of this role, you will work with the product management team, data engineering team, insurance product/pricing and policy administration teams to embed data driven decision making across the teams and support the pricing of easy to understand and innovative insurance products.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

Employing advanced modeling and optimization techniques in order to develop and implement the portfolio pricing strategy - at renewal and during the year;
Retention rates modeling, price elasticity studies through A/B testing and development of an optimization algorithm that would provide an optimal premium to every client and help the company meet its retention and profitability goals;
Conducting in-depth portfolio and claims analysis, follow and give recommendations on portfolio pruning;
Using data visualization tools to build interactive, insightful reports to help embed data driven decisions;
Participate in cross-functional projects, including the valuation of external portfolios to be transferred to our book;
Collaborate effectively with the Product Management, Data Engineering and Technological teams;
Validate, interpret and present data results to both an expert and a cross-functional audience.

About You

Graduate studies in Actuarial Sciences / Data Science / Statistics / Mathematics or similar fields
Previous experience in P&C insurance pricing is preferable
Solid knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms, statistics and probability
Proficiency in working with open-source programming tools (Python, R), visualization tools / packages
Strong analytical and communications skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas to both an expert and a cross-functional audience
Advanced English skills
Experience in working in an agile organization is a plus
