We are looking for a Lead Frontend Developer to be part of our dynamic R&D Team in Portugal! As part of the Talend R&D Team, the Senior Frontend Developer (Front-End/JavaScript) applicant will be responsible for designing, implementing, integrating and optimizing our front-end Web-Application UI's. Within this position, the development will mainly be focused on user interface / client-side development based on JavaScript (ReactJS). The applicant would be able to work in an international team with up-to-date technologies and standards, incl. modern cloud-based deployment environment (AWS & Azure). There will be collaboration with the UX/UI teams. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

- Lead and mentor a team about 5 frontend developers (HR Management) 
- Technical conception and implementation of front-end product features 

- Common / shared ReactJS component development (Talend Design System: Coral) 

- Maintenance of existing product components 
- Providing suitable solutions for complex problems and provide potential options to the product owner on selected technical topics. 
- Apply and promote good development practices among the team and participate in front-end code reviews to provided qualified feedback to other team members.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 

- Minimum of 7 years in JavaScript -based Web-Application development, with at least 2 years of practical experience using a web framework (React, Vue or Angular). 
- Experience in TypeScript and Sass. 
- Ability to lead and manage a feature team 
- Good architecture / roadmap vision 
- Experience to work in an agile development team / agile process. 
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly in English, both verbally and in writing. 
- Ability to work within a distributed international team environment. 
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent. 
OPTIONAL, BUT DESIRABLE: 
Experience with cloud technologies (like AWS, Microsoft Azure or others) 
Experience with Jest / Testing-library / Storybook
