Main Mission
Attached to the Division VP, Sales & Marketing, your main missions are to:
• Manage the Product Management and Applications team for the selected site/products.
• Take an active role in the strategic planning and roadmap definition for the selected products and markets.
• Drive the selected products’ strategy, from definition of requirements to the launch of new products and their lifecycle, with a strong focus on customers and markets requirements, and a goal to drive profitable growth.
• Support Sales and Communications activities by supplying marketing content that will contribute to develop market awareness and boost lead generation
Main responsabilities
You are responsible for:
• Managing a team of Product Managers covering selected product line(s) and market(s)
• Managing a team of Application Engineers/Scientists in charge of applications development, sales support, instruments validation and applications training
• Participating to the definition of New Products Development Roadmaps for the selected lines of products with a goal to integrate and satisfy targeted customer requirements while driving profitable growth for the business
• Actively engaging in CAMECA’s Product Development Lifecycle from the project concept phase to the end of life
• Driving the definition of new products and elicitation of their requirements with a strong focus on customers and market needs and in accordance with the Strategic Plans defined at the Business Unit level.
• Ensuring that new development requests and requirements are prioritized with ROI and product line profitability in mind
• Ensuring close collaboration of the marketing team with the R&D and Engineering teams throughout the development Lifecycle.
• Ensuring that market intelligence and competitive watch are gathered and communicated throughout the organization
• Driving definition, prioritization, and execution of new applications development roadmap
• Drive the creation of scientific and applications content to support Marketing and Communications operations and drive the promotion of selected products to increase market awareness and lead generation.
• Acting as the « Voice of Customers » within the organization, engaging and interacting with Key Opinion Leaders in the Academic and Governmental Labs, as well as key users and decision makers from industrial Key Accounts
Education & Experience
• MSc or PhD
• Specialization in Material Analysis, Material Sciences or Analytical Instrumentation
• Minimum of 5 years of experience required in a Product Marketing position (Product Management, Marketing Management)
• Solid background in Material Sciences, Geosciences or related domains
• Strong knowledge of the Academic and Government world.
• Experience developing and managing budgets, and hiring, training, developing, supervising and appraising personnel
• Fluent English, oral and written is a must
