Who you will work with:
We are looking for a Global Category Manager “Indirect” (Generalist) to join our Global Procurement Team. In your role you will report directly to the Vice President Global Procurement. The scope of responsibilities covers the whole organisation. It therefore includes a lot of collaboration with the local procurement community, but also some Global Team like Operations or IT.
Our ideal candidate is likely to have at least 5+ years’ experience in procurement, ideally educated to degree level or equivalent with detailed knowledge and successful experience in various fields of indirect procurement. Knowledge in managing investments and related services is a plus.
Location preferable in Lyon or Berlin where other members of the Global Operation team are based.
Your responsibilities and deliverables:
Responsible for group wide spend for Indirect Materials, Services and Packaging
Build strong partnerships with the stakeholders, and successfully engaging with various functions and teams with diverse cultural backgrounds
Define and develop a category group strategy and build a robust pipeline of category initiatives, by obtaining business buy-in and successful execution
Review and drive independently contracts to completion in partnership with internal business stakeholders and legal department
Ensure a robust approach to supplier management, by establishing value creation targets and reporting of supplier performance, developing innovation programs, managing supplier risks, and conducting regular business reviews
Manage the selection of service providers and suppliers, considering global, regional, and local category groups
Conduct price and contract negotiations with national and international suppliers and service providers in a consistent and appreciative manner
Supervise and support stakeholders as an escalation point in contract implementation, contract management and other supplier-related issues
Your profile:
University degree in Business Administration or Engineering
Advanced commercial negotiation skills
Excellent communication skills
Strong analytical, planning and priority setting skills
Ability to understand business priorities and challenges
Strong collaboration and team working skills, including in a remote environment
Ability to build reliable and sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders, in a multicultural environment
Self-starter and ability to pro-actively address issues
ERP system experience desired (Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus)
Fluent English
