About the role
The Group Marketing Manager, Pelvic Health Country Marketing will be responsible for both team management as well as multi-country marketing strategy and execution .
This person will lead a team of Marketing Managers who each have specific franchise responsibility for a specific country or set of countries.
This person is accountable for ensuring the country marketing team delivers strategic, aligned business plans and tactical execution to achieve revenue and gross margin objectives for their area of responsibility.
This role involves working internationally to integrate marketing strategies with Country Sales/Marketing and EMEA divisional Marketing.
The role will also be responsible for investigating new market/product opportunities within its relevant disease area.
This person should be an experienced marketer who can coach and elevate the core marketing skills of the team. Leadership and influence will be important in ensuring alignment between marketing team and the respective Business Unit Directors/P&L owners. A collaborative leader who is commercially minded, has either managed (either directly or indirectly) people previously would be ideal.
Your responsibilities include
Set strategic direction for country marketing and ensure alignment to and execution of tactical plans. Develop annual and long-term objectives and development plans for direct report(s). Attract/retain and develop top marketing talent. Collaborate with and influence sales management teams in countries and clusters to ensure aligned planning and resource allocation to drive growth. Responsible for team management of operational marketing within countries. Demonstrate an understanding of the franchise opportunities in each market (thru the expertise of your team), ensuring use of a variety of methods and approaches (Local guidelines, literature searches, physician interviews, focus groups and advisory boards, market research and analysis) Coordinate and partner with all necessary internal functions to complete projects: sales, clinical, regulatory, legal, health economics, human resources, product marketing, etc. Close collaboration with other Marketing Group Managers in UroPH EMEA team (Franchise for Pelvic health, Country Marketing for StoneBPH) to ensure consistency and to leverage best practices. Responsible for Key Opinion Leader management processes, including select direct relationships with KOLs in each key market. Identifying the most important Local KOLs and next level KOLs. Ensure alignment between EMEA / Global / Local KOL plans and activities where appropriate. Oversee development of detailed market entry strategies and product launch plans Partnership with EMEA Franchise marketing to contribute to upstream product development input as required. Manage team within their allocated budgets, considering ROI is aligned with annual objectives Drive the development of annual objectives and provide focus on linking marketing to sales process; monitor objectives alignment with business needs, identify any required adjustments. Proactively coach and manage team to ensure effective execution of marketing initiatives implementation: Evaluate outcomes of congresses, and regional/national events executed by country marketing team Influence local management teams to ensure country marketing team members time is focused on the appropriate Marketing activities. Oversee annual operating plan development and execution including: Proactively engage Sales leadership team to monitor initiatives, share findings/issues and develop solutions Monitor and measure team against their ability to create unique and persuasive value messaging and tools targeted at economically oriented EMEA customers and work with HEMA and country marketing to develop healthcare impact/hospital impact value calculators for high priority launches and emerging proceduresWho are we looking for
7+ years commercial experience with minimum 5 years in Marketing Demonstrated functional competency in leading cross-functional projects (direct line management and/or project management). building market, revenue, and/or investment models. ability to synthesize complex information / analysis / ideas / strategies into a cohesive and succinct business plan. creating impactful strategic marketing plans and developing value propositions, positioning, and targeting Demonstrated leadership competencies in: Displays drive and ambition to be developed and grow into more senior commercial roles. Mature and able to articulate ideas and concepts well in front of senior management. Excellent coaching, personnel development and leadership skills. Team/people management experience preferred Collaboration, Influence, Relationship Building Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required. 2nd EU language would be an advantage Knowledge/experience with direct to patient and direct to referral marketing programs and capabilities would be an advantage Travel: 40-60%, primarily in EMEA, occasional international to the USA Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred Role must be based in a Boston Scientific hub location.About us
