Role description
The Corporate Strategy team is responsible for:
The company Long Term Plan process, performed on an annual basis
M&A activities (Acquisitions, Divestitures, Joint Ventures) and other types of negotiations
Analysis of markets, customers, supply chain and competitors
Business development support
Ad’hoc support to Business Units on strategic and operational topics
The Corporate Strategy Manager will:
Support Corporate Strategy Initiatives with various strategic studies/projects for Business Units and Corporate, as well as for special M&A assignments
Be the primary project support for ongoing corporate and BU assignments
Market and competitor analysis to support strategic decision making
Support in the annual long term planning process
Job qualifications:
Bachelor or Master Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent
At least 7-10 years of working experience whereby at least 3-5 years transactional Merger & Acquisitions experience (investment banking for example)
Interest in learning about and working in the metals & mining (in particular aluminium) industry
Fluency in English and French required
German and/or Chinese language skills are an asset
Specific competencies
Solid accounting and corporate finance knowledge
M&A transactional experience and financial modelling skills is a plus
Excellent analytical skills; structured mindset / synthesis abilities
