This is a perfect role for someone who is looking for the opportunity to lead the Category Development Management within shaving, and “partner to win” with customers. The Category Development Manager is responsible for creating powerful Customer solutions which deliver inspiring, winning shopper solutions through expertise, creativity and collaboration.

Let’s Get Down To Business

This is an excellent opportunity for a Category management professional to be responsible for providing excellent category support to our business in the critical period of negotiations.

Context is a replacement of maternity leave, ideally from mid July 2019 to beginning of February 2020.

Reporting to the Category Lead, you will be involved in partnering with sales teams, marketing / trade marketing team to deliver the best solutions for the retailer you oversee. The role demands a great deal of stakeholder involvement and engagement at various levels, so is ideal for someone who enjoys communication and providing a great customer experience for all.

Here’s a sample of the type of things you will be responsible for:

Tracking and analyzing performance of our product range at customer level using Nielsen tools. Ensuring best use of Category and retailer-specific data in support of optimum category rationale development for 2020 in your retailer portfolio. Providing customer range recommendations and support with customization of the Category strategies at a customer level (critical at that moment of the year). Creating fact-based retailer presentations with clear rationale & numerical quantification of recommendations.

Show Us What You’ve Got

Ideally you will have experience working in Category management gained within a global commercial or FMCG business. You must be fluent in French and have good English skills.

In this role, it is important that you can work autonomously, flexibly and collaboratively with individuals and teams within the business and outside. Professional experience is important. But it’s paramount you share our values and belief in ‘challenge to win’.

Here are some of the requirements we are looking for:

University / Business school diploma in commercial related subject Good knowledge of French trade Junior category management experience ideally in FMCG – in a company / at a retailer Branded experience essential / Private Label experience a plus Experience of working with shopper and consumer data Nielsen, IRI, Kantar, EPOS … Relationships building and business partnering Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation skills
