The EMEA Marketing team is looking for an experienced and talented Marketing Leader to take the responsibility of Myopia / Myopia Control key strategic category and brands in the EMEA region.
The Associate Director is leading the myopia category with a strategic focus on Essilor Stellest brand, fast moving and strategic category for the Group.
Main opportunities & challenges to overcome:
- Build strategic plans to develop faster the category, with a key focus on prescription generations (Ophtalmologists, Optometrists) and Opticians upskill (in-practice myopia management).
- Anticipate category development and increasing competitive pressure to ensure EssilorLuxottica’s superiority and leadership in the region.
- Enlarge distribution: CEE launch (January), Key Accounts (Synsam & Boots) and Multi-network rollout.
Main Roles &Responsabilities:
1. Develop and implement the full myopia strategic roadmap for the region, in line with EMEA/global top management and providing guidelines on local execution.
2. Coordinate Medical Marketing / Professional Relations / Education, together with the head of Education and Professional Relations:
o Reinforcement/building of Medical Science Liaison teams
o Professional Relations activities: KOL, scientific events (global, regional, local)
o Medical marketing content strengthening
3. Lead the Dispensers strategy across the region, supporting markets in their execution:
o Reinforce ECPs engagement & expertise on the myopia management category:
§ Training: Leonardo Myopia & Stellest certifications rollout + continuous F2F training
§ Essilor Stellest Care B2B program implementation (myopia expert community leveraging training + Stellest + Myopia Expert 700)
o Develop in-store experience with kids corners in H2
4. Develop Myopia Management awareness among consumers:
o Run B2C media campaigns to further build the category and raise consumer awareness (FR, IT)
o Implement B2C Myopia awareness program “EyeStar Mission” for back to school (FR, IT, UKI tbc)
o Enrich Stellest value proposition with product & service upgrades (guarantee, subscription model, Crizal upgrade)
o Leverage strategic co-branding opportunities (RayBan Kids x Stellest)
Other general roles and responsabilities related to the role:
1. Ensure value creation: pricing, forecasts, additional turnover, margin…
2. Support the countries to ensure efficient launches: training (TTR), communication material, elements for roadshows and collaborate with Media team to support Brand awareness in relevant geographies
3. Lead performance analysis: sales tracking and implementation of required corrective actions
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 8 to 10 years+ of marketing experience
- Someone with experience in managing brand and product innovations in a B2B-2C environment
- Someone with Medical Marketing experience or with solid experience in the Optical or Health industry (OTC, Medical Device, Drugs…)
- Someone with strong Marketing experience, mastering the building of an offer (consumer insight, marketing concept) and all the aspects of the Marketing Mix: pricing, product, distribution, communication
- This person should have proven success in building Go To Market Plans for innovations
- This person has experience in managing Brands
- Someone with experience in category growth and associated strategic planning
- Someone keen to understand the technology behind the ophthalmic and lenses
- Someone with experience in managing marketing people
- Optic industry experience mandatory
Any of the following experiences would be a plus for the candidate:
- A commercial experience, managing a direct relationship with store owners or retailers
- An experience in retail experience (translation of a brand message in the store)

- Strong proficiency in English (written and spoken)
