Strategy and Marketing Manager CF

Reports To : Carbon Fiber product line director

Essential responsibilities and duties.

The Strategy and Marketing Manager is responsible to lead the process of building a strong industrial and academic ecosystem for the Carbon Fiber activities through M&As and partnerships. He should also BE monitoring the trends in the markets with the assistance from Marketing Engineer who will report to him and propose ideas to expand our business globally and achieve our sales targets.

The main missions of the role are :

Identify new growth opportunities in the market

Understand the market for CF : competition, technology, norms and regs, segmentation, price trends, customers
Research organizations and individuals to find new opportunities
Perform screeing of the companies and technologies
Report the key technology and market trends to management
Conduct desk study to further shortlist the companies through appropriate scoring

Build relationships with potential partners

Contact potential partners to establish rapport and arrange meetings
Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events.

Prepare business development strategy

Develop short term targets for the development team and business growth
Follow and report the progress of the planned targets
Develop new business models and perform simulations

Execute the business development strategy

Organise the signature of NDAs between parties
Assess the synergies with the potential partners and prepare partnership proposals
Prepare position papers and get the official approvals from the management to move forward
Organise the negotiation teams and ensure the right resources are available to close the deals
Identify new marketing initiatives.

Others

Train personally and also help the team members develop any new needed skills.
Prepare a complete level summary once a month for management
Ensure good collaboration between all contributors inside and outside material division through appropriate communications and routines

Qualifications needed.

The ideal candidate will have/BE :

Minimum Education Level : Master or Bachelor in Engineering Degree and/or Business.

Experience : A minimum of 10 years of experience in the technology domain.

Skills and competencies :

Strong understanding of the systems in his/her technology domain and also the ones in the adjoint domains
Minimum bi-lingual (English required).
IT skills : Knowledge in MS Office and comfortable with digital tools
Strong leadership with good written and oral communications skills
Intercultural and open mindset, overseas experiences a plus
Flexibility for frequent business travel
Project Management Skills and Market knowledge
Reactivity to market trends
Results-oriented
