Marketing & Product Manager – Fragrance encapsulation – Your future position?

Fragrance capsules have created a sizable new market opportunity over the past decade in our homecare and personal care businesses. Givaudan is currently one of the largest suppliers in this Delivery Systems space.

Today we sell a variety of fragrance capsules that are specifically designed to deliver enhanced performance and value across key strategic product categories. As the market continues to grow and remains highly competitive, it is essential that we evolve the way we market our products.

As a Marketing & Product Manager in the Delivery Systems department, a multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for the launch of new creations.

You are the person who develops expertise on the usage of capsules and identifies the customer needs that our products will fulfill. You articulate what success looks like, based on market and consumer understanding.

In coordination with the Business Development manager you will suggest new strategies and ensure alignment with business objectives.

You will manage and be involved in a number of projects across fabric care and personal care categories, spanning various functions: Sales, Perfumers, Evaluation, Research, Regulatory and Industrialisation. Further, you will create, deliver and support client presentations.

Reporting to the Delivery Systems Business Development and Marketing Director, you will have the following objectives:

Support product launches: you will propose a product positioning and support the launch of new fragrance creations. You will create unique systems stories with supporting materials for our products and support salespersons and other internal stakeholders. You will produce outstanding and visionary presentations to our clients globally, directly or indirectly through the regional teams.
Develop Marketing programs: you will ideate new concept directions and bring them to life, collaborating with different creative teams.
You will also collaborate with consumer insight teams to evaluate consumer feedback on our products.
You will create, deliver and support client presentations, tailoring the Givaudan value proposition to specific needs of the clients.
Provide a marketing expertise and build and maintain global and regional based knowledge: to develop your expertise and ensure best business relevance of our products, you will gather key market data worldwide, analyse major market launches & innovations, and provide input & support in terms of business intelligence.
Become a key partner to the Commercial and Development teams: You are the go-to person for the product portfolio. You will support the Sales, Development and Technology teams to increase their market knowledge of Delivery Systems.

Your professional profile includes:

University Degree/Business/Marketing (or equivalent)
3+ year experience in industry, in marketing or related field, ideally in both agency and client sides
Creative, innovative
Basic technical understanding of consumer products
Extensive experience in leading and driving projects
Fluency in French and English
Knowledge of the fragrance industry, specifically encapsulation, a plus
